Just started reading this manga and I can already say that I'm pretty pleased with it. The art is amazing and so is the plot (when **** died that was pretty unexpected; lol, sorry I'm not putting their real name...) and as of right now I am just getting to the time-skip that appears and I'm already getting confused.
Alexia and Albert are (supposedly) twins, and Alexia clearly stated that she was turning 12 soon, meaning that she is only 11 years old, also meaning that Albert is 11 (that is, if they are twins, but I'm pretty sure they are) and then there is a TWO YEAR, hence the TWO, time skip yet Albert looks older than a (now) 14 year old! And don't even get me started with Theo! He's supposed to be 16, but he looks 20 something...But I can't complain, cos' Theo is pretty HOT
Anyways, onto my actual review, which will contain spoilers so yeah:
Basically the story starts off with 11 year old Albert and 13/14 year old Theo wanting to go off in the town to see the Queen's birthday festival. In their kingdom, there is a crude hierarchy where males are treated like the scum of the country while women are bestowed as the recipients of social power and wealth. No matter where you came from or who you were raised by, as long as you are a male a female of great social power has the right to take and claim you as their slave and/or servant. But don't worry, this isn't one of those dumb stories where the girl takes the guy as a servant and they slowly fall in love. As Al and Theo are wandering through the streets, wondering why the Queen's festival hasn't begun, Theo's hat flies with the wind and as he runs to catch it a woman of high power comes and attacks to the boys along with her servants and try to sell them to the markets. Luckily (or maybe not) Guy comes in the lick of time and buys them from the stubborn woman for 1 Million. At first Theo and Al are greatful, but then they're knocked out and when they come to both of them are completely naked and being washed brutally (Al is, not Theo), with a mop, by an all-male-hating Guy. Soon, Al and Theo find out that Al has been brought to the Queen's Castle where they meet Princess Alexia; the young heir to the throne who just so happens to look identical to Al. Even more to their surprise, Alexia says that Al is to take her place as the heir to the throne for the time being as she goes out of town to meet with her "beloved". Many things ensue and one after another, things gets feisty to the point where Theo is wounded by a sword and ends up in a somewhat crucial position. Begging for Theo's life, Al agrees to do what Alexia asks just so long as Theo is sent home and taken care of. His wish is granted and with that the three of their stories begin. Theo wanders off to god-knows-where and claims that he will become the King of Thieves and isn't heard or seen from again until the time-skip at the very end of chapter 7 where he is now 16/17 years old (I suppose) and is ready to take Al back from the position he was forced into. I don't want to go into specific details about how it happened, seeing how this is already pretty long, but Alexia ends up dying after someone shoots her out of spite/jealousy. Al quickly reigns in and claims that Alexia was just a double and that he's the real heir and then the time skip begins immediately afterwords to show us how Al is putting up with his position. Now, that's all I'm saying as that's all I've read.
I know this was long, but I hope you guys will also enjoy this story. I have to say, it's very interesting. But I'm kind of wondering about the genre of this manga? I'm only at the end of Ch.7 , and it already seems like this is gonna be some sort of Yaoi manga what with there being no more females left and Theo returning to "claim" Al...IDK, it seems VERY Yaoi to me xD.
