It’s been almost a year since Natsumi and her family moved from the town of Onigafuchi. Her grandmother, a native of Hinamizawa village, fears that they will be cursed for abandoning the mountains, but Natsumi has never been happier, making new friends and enjoying school life. When a terrible gas explosion in Hinamizawa wipes out everyone in the village, her grandmother is convinced it is the wrath of the village god, Oyashiro-sama. Natsumi’s family has never taken Grandmother’s beliefs seriously, but her devotion to Oyashiro-sama has taken a frightening turn. Have the old woman’s fanatical convictions gone too far?

The story of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is divided into a total of eight chapters: four "Question" arcs and four "Answer" arcs. Each chapter keeps the same main characters, but ends in a different way. However, each chapter gives valuable answers, hints, and clues to the previous one, while at the same time bringing forth even more mysteries.

Just like the guy said below me, didnt expect this but again i was expecting something like that. But anyway : story: love it, it will start of slow like usual, but then you will be like " What?!" then you will continue till the end. Story ended the rigth way for a higurashi series. Art: very good art, nothing to complain about, alot of blood especially. Start/End : well lets just say very nice beginning, but fucked up ending ovarall: could have been longer but, i guess its just a short story, but still worth reading.

Okay. Second favorite arc! I like how this one takes place after the Great Hinamizawa Disaster ( what was so great about it?) and I also liked how the Kimiyoshi family finally had a part in the story. (they were the third great house in Hinamizawa) You know, think what you like but I like murder and mayhem, so of course this is ganna one of my favorites (Yes, there will be blood.) I loved the ending the most. If you read it you know what I'm talking about. It was like BAM, never saw it coming. That's another reason I love Higurashi, You don't know what to expect.
