I found this uninspired and lacking somehow. It attempted to discuss a bigger concept of life and relationships than it was able to deliver, so it ended up becoming simply annoying.
It just didn't gut punch me or make me ponder further. The art itself was too 'cartoon-y,' which I don't personally prefer and the narration and characters all seemed so flat to me.
Brilliant stuff, you can see a cross of Tezuka and Tatsumi in his style of art and storytelling. I couldn't help but adore the chaarcter of the husband. I really do hope Drawn & Quarterly pick up some of Tsuge's manga sometime.
I can't seem to understand what happens. It just shows that life's problems are never ending, that you have to be prepared for happiness to end suddenly.
