Jigokuren

Description

Rintaro Senkawa is a middle aged guy who got a little drunk one night and died. But that is just the beginning of this story as Rintaro finds himself most unexpectedly in Hell where he meets his guide, the devil Koyori. Can Rintaro take his situation seriously enough to repent for the sins of his former life, or will he face the favored weapon of Hell- the spiked iron club?

Although this is classified as ecchi, gore and torture, keep in mind that this story takes place in HELL. And this is not a modern day shounen, "we're not the same as the 'Old Hell' devils drinks a milkshake"-interpretation. This is an old fashioned, "You were sent to hell? Ok, you're undeniably guilty of a terrible crime and now you gotta pay the price Old Testament-style." If you can accept that, you'll find some great characters and subtle usage of plot here.

This is so original, funny, and fresh. Sure it says ecchi, but I thought it had way more plot then that. It is worth reading, and it's very addictive! (even though not many chapters ((4 now?)) have been translated yet!) ... Last updated on December 20th, 2011, 3:07am

... is what I what I would call this manga after reading the first 3 chapters. While there is blood and gore, its played up for the laughs and the setting of hell is utilized in way which completely suits the tone of the manga. However the best part is the dynamic between the 2 main leads which is equal parts funny and interesting. There are subtle hints of both of them being interested in each other but right now the manga is still in "explanation of the world" mode. Try it, you won't regret it ;-)

It have many gross parts and very disturbing ,but I couldn't not read it . Fun to read and the all Hell setting very interesting and origanal (I love it!) I don't think it's for everyone ,like I said it have many gross scenes and nude . But if you don't care about it ,go read the manga !
