Description
From Viz:
Everyone thinks 16-year-old Ryoko has weird taste in guys because she can't stop drooling over Ryu, the strong silent type who sits next to her in class. When she discovers he works for a host club--where women actually pay men to date them--will she finally wise up? Only one thing's for sure in B.O.D.Y.--you can't put a price on love!
I just couldn't bring myself to read the whole thing. I stopped after the first volume. I usually like stoic characters but the guy doesn't convey any feeling in his silence. And the girl is too much of a typical shoujo heroine. It's like they were two people in my school that i didn't want to hear the story and so i stopped reading. I give it a 5 because i don't it's that bad and maybe if someday i'm bored to death i'll give it another try.
The guy works for a host club, the girl, falls in love with him. Convinces him to quit, but apparently, you can't simply quit working at one of these places. No you have to replace the money you would have made by continuing to work there. (An idea so idiotic its pitiful) That aside, the heroine decides that its all because the manager of the host club had his heart broken by an unfaithful girl, and so naturally she must go ahead and chase this woman down, and get her to pay for what she has done. The brainless stupidity shown by this moronic girl, who somehow thinks its her business to but into her boyfriends job, her boyfriends managers job etc. Honestly, if the girl got herself raped, it would actually be a relief, as maybe the brainless bit of fluff would finally get a clue.
This is just really dumb. It starts out nice, but goes rapidly downhill. Really not worth reading.
It makes me sad that I can't read the rest of this series. This story is one of the only original stories I have left to enjoy. Though it's called typical shoujo, I think that B.O.D.Y. sticks out with a unique flair that not all have. n_n
I've read until chapter 7 right now and I'm going on after writing this ^^ But I really needes to say, I loved chapter 6. The art looks really shabby, but I'm looking forward the next volumes because I've heard it's gooing better and better, nearly "beautiful". The story is... nothing special, though I like it very much. I'm wondering what will happen the next chapters. It's definetly a Shojo-thing, yes, but what's wrong with it? If you like it...
i think im going to buy this today i read some online but i decided to maybe buy it lol but i dont care about her untrusting so called "bestfriend" who wont beleive her...
It was really good at first, I was really into it.
THEN IT GOES DOWNHILL.
The characters turn annoying. Fuji isn't as attractive as I first thought him to be. The main girl (she's not even important enough to be remembered name-wise) turns into the most annoying thing ever. CRY, CRY, CRY!
Typical shoujo manga. It's so boring. My brain can't handle it anymore. It's gonna explode from stupidity after stupidity.
And FWIW, Fuji looks like a flipping girl. The mangaka honestly can not draw guys.
I love this series... Its just so good but i wanted to know if anyone here knows where i can go to read Volumes 6 and up.. If you cant find it scandlated i would appreciate it if u could send me a link where i can read it raw. Plz and thank u
i super love this manga. i have read the first few chapters online and decided to continue reading it by ordering the real stuff on hmv. finally got the last volume this march and im very very happy about the ending. kudos to mimori ao.
I would have given this a 9... When i started this manga, i really liked it to the point that i search all over the net for raws. But after reading volume 7 onwards, i'm giving this a 4... the manga introduces a lot of new characters that wants to destroy their relationship, and it made me feel sick. every bad thing seems to happen to them... such a pity... it has lots of potential to be a great manga. I loved the art a lot, but the story... i can't say the same thing... i hated everything starting from volume 7 and up. the only thing that made me keep reading this is the art. hope this ends soon. i can't bear to see them suffer even more.
