good potential, but it ends all of a sudden, thats why i guess most people who gave bad scores gave what they gave. Good thing theres a sequel, but the author coulda just continued this instead of making a new title.

A fun read!

I was expecting very little when I picked this up, but found myself pleasantly surprised. It certainly doesn't bring anything new to the table, although the main character isn't your usual monster hunter toting guns. What makes Ookami ga Kuru a good read is the nice mix of comedy, action, and a sprinkle of romance. Just the right combination.

The characters are likeable, although not particularly developed at this stage. I'd definitely like a few chapters that delve more into Sirius' past, how he became a hunter, and so on. More about Beate's background would be interesting as well, or the way KICHE works. So far we've only seen them tackling cases.

The art is generally very nice, although there's a pretty big variation between some panels. Most are very clean, sharp art, but every so often, particularly during the action scenes, it looks pretty sketchy. Easily ignored, however.

As the previous commenter stated, there's a lot of potential here. It won't be the best thing since sliced bread, but it'll be a fun read. Now if only there's more out...

Lots of Potential

Everything about this manga has potential.
The characters have definite personality, but have yet to be further developed with their own originality.
This type of plot has come up quite a few times lately in my reading, but it has potential to take a path that will make it both original and exciting to read.
To be completely honest the art is lacking..... Again the artists style looks like it has great outlines and again, potential, but is lacking a "final copy" look to it, with its not-quite-filled-in dark patches, and its sketch-like faces. But if the artist can pull it together and just spend that little extra time on the finishing touches it would be very good art. so again, potential.
(Although this may just be an inexperienced scanlator, i doubt it, as the group currrently working on this series is one of the groups i tend to rely upon)

So ya, the series has tons of potential XD if you haven't already heard from me bigrazz Im going to continue reading this as I think it will be worth it and i will suggest this to others, but you may want to wait till more of the series is available to you if you go by scanlations
