Ngl. I looked at the amount of pages it had and was like "okay damn bro".

I'm not going to lie but if this was braked up into more chapters/made into a series it could've been a lot better.

I do agree with the review below me everything was just going to quick and randomly. (I mean it's almost 100 years old-ish) I feel like back then this was the good sht yk?

It's a fun read fr, if you got nothing better to do just read it.

Melodrama overdose

Okay. This is a classic shoujo. Classic shoujo is almost synonymous with melodrama. And I love it. But seriously, does it have to go this far?

The story starts out normally. Very, very normally. Cliche-ly, really. Reina is the most average cute blonde you could imagine
with averagely bad parents. Maya is her gorgeous gothy next-door neighbor. And then, BAM
Spoiler (highlight to view)
a dead kitten.

From this point it just gets more and more ridiculous. The romance between Reina and Maya is tragic and sweet, but it appears so quickly and abruptly (after knowing each other for under three days they're exchanging vows of love!) that even this seasoned shoujo fan was shocked. This novel is obviously supposed to seem dark and horrorific, but honestly it just felt silly and overdone. And then there's the twist at the end. I'm not going to ruin anything, but OH MY GOOOOD WHAT A HORRIBLE ENDING. Can't you give a girl some warning?

The redeeming factor for this manga is definitely the art. It's a very nice example of the 70s shoujo style with some added gothiness. As a warning, though, it's not nearly as cool or Spanish-like as the cover art.
