embarrassed Oh my! I remember this. This is probably one of the best classic old manga I've read. It was addictive, funny, and there was actual plot! xD; Following the life of Teppei as he improves and such, while still being an immature dork is really what this manga is about. And I totally love it <3 !

This manga is epic, back in the time its came out in my country, you can saw kid discussion about Teppei everywhere, same as Dragon Ball. Even now when i read it over again, the story and battle scenes still so amazing that it still being superior compare to any kendo manga out there. This is a must read.
Although i kind of wonder how can Teppei keep become shorter as the manga proceed ? And the ending make me want mangaka made a sequel not an alternative story about Teppei

This manga was epic when I was younger that is like ten to twelve years ago. Though I don't remember much details, but it must be quite good to leave such an impression in my memory.. ^_^

After 10 years I can still read the whole series over and over again. It has everything a good shonen could ever hope for. No silly fan services or instant-noodle plot, even the characters were individually charming and loveable. Pure delight to enjoy, this remains among my list of best masterpieces forever. It makes you long for the old golden eras of manga when quality stayed on top of commercialism.

Ah! One of my favourite series in my childhood. Pretty happy that I still have the whole series in my collection (ie. good read & good buy.) Now my nephews and nieces are the readers of this story... It makes me feel that this manga has become a "legend"...

this series is one of my first reads, and it's awesome! the plot, the comedy, the tension: they're all there. There are parts that make the phrase "LOL" true to its meaning. I remember I was laughing out loud reading this over and over
