Description

This story takes place in the Victorian England.
Belle is a 16 year-old governess and fresh from the country on her first job. She expected life in London to be marvellous, though her charges are anything but lovely and her client is a miser. To make matters worse, a dead body was found in her trunk and Belle was charged as a murderer! But help comes in the form of Lady Ethel and Noel Scott.

I DID try to read it but decided to drop it after the first chapter... I do understand that the mangaka made an attempt in doing historical romance via victorian era but unfortunately it didn't appeal to me much. Lots of inaccuracy, I'd say. She's too young to be a governess too (and too happy). "A governess was in an awkward position in the Victorian household, neither quite a servant nor a member of the family. As a sign of this social limbo, she often ate in isolation" (wiki). I remember reading this Amanda Quick historical novel where her main character said "I'd rather die, than be a governess." It was a shock to me that Bluebell seems so happy being a governess D:

I have to say that this is a great manga, despite the main girl =.= Belle, yah~ she's too dreamy all day and I see nothing good at her. Maybe because i always hate shoujo-girl. But, Ethel is a wonderful character that you will love for sure. He/she is kind and interesting, deep and warm. Man, I wish he/she would be Noel's lover instead okay I'm yaoi-fan Anyway, this one is a good to try. Belle doesn't appear much on the whole story. And, I think that the end is boring, but not bad ^"^

	Flowery art but ending is not good

agree that art is very "flowery-sparkly..." as what lys says. Story is a bit boring at first. Gets more complicated in the middle. Sucks at the end. LOL. I already finished this manga and the ending is not really good.

So far so good, can't wait to see how this develops. 20 volumes seems a bit much though, however hopefully that will mean quick scanlations ?? I really appears to be a cutey, fluffy type of manga so far though. ... Last updated on March 27th, 2008, 7:19pm

This could be the most flowery-sparkly-glittery-fluffy-lacey shoujo manga I've come across. The main character's name, Bluebell Lily Everrose, made me giggle. But it's sweet and cute and it seems like the mangaka makes some attempts at historical accuracy (though not to the degree of a series like, say, Emma). It kinda has an old-school/classic shoujo manga feel. I'm interested to see where it goes!
