storyline of a businessman being set up in debt.. Having to cater to a highschool? Princess.. With sex!!?!? Then they like each other. The end
Love the art and the story. I keep guessing the step mother's intention. And our main heroine is more than just a rich slut.
Lame and not well written hentai
I don´t know why i read this manga to begin with but here is my review. Just for catharsis. xxzxxx and company are right. The writing is way too weak to be taken seriously. The characters are as deep as the paper the manga is printed on. The art is perfectly fine but it doesn´t save the overall quality. Why did the author try to inject poorly executed "drama"(the aunt) and corporate takeover into his story. Why don´t we see the leading lady at any of the orgies. Did the writer chicken out due to fear of turning readers of ? Lame. This way the characters come of as schizophrenic and where is the ending coming from. I only read the first volume, speed read everything else and jumped to the last few chapters to get closure but even i felt dissatisfied. And i didn´t even care about the manga.(I point deduction for such a anticlimax). He was writing porn after all ? Vitamin is as(relatively tame) hentai magazine. Just saying facts here. Overall way to irritating to recommend. As a drama its a joke. As a porno it hasn´t have enough onscreen sex or likable leads. So who is the audience ? Watch Shame/a Von Trier movie or look at porn instead. Just don´t do both at once like the manga tried. She(?) really need a writing partner that is for sure.

Seriously, I can skip all the H parts
Yep, I'm one of those typical guys who read H's now and then. I know what I should expect from an H (apparently just... that kind of stuff, not the story).
Velvet Kiss is unexpected--in a good way.
Its story made me rub my eyes to see what kind of manga I was reading. It has a very good story. Its plot is better than quite many manga's nowadays, and miles better than most of its kind. Seriously speaking, you can cut off the H parts, I don't really care, though that is likely to be the actual main point of the series as a H. It contains drama, a good enough one, not a rough or one that is not well thought. The art is awesome as usual of the kind .
I would love to see Velvet Kiss rewritten as a non-H, with the same kind of art, and some more complicated points in the story. Pretty sure that will be popular.
There's more than sex
I came across and thought it was going to be a pointless manga with just a lot of sex in it but I was wrong. It may have a lot of sex but there is a story going on in this manga which is what I love about it. Once reading it you just want more and more. Average at best
I thought the manga was average at best - it was average until chapter 24 - where I lost respect for the manga and the MC. If a sequel is ever made I already know how it'll play out.

Kano will face some hardships while being abroad - so she does what she does best - find the nearest orgy to attend.
Almost everyone in this manga is weird
This is exactly how I also felt - the only one I had sympathy for was Nitta - since I felt he was the "innocent one" in this story. PS: I don't actually think it deserves 1 - since I've read worse stories than this - it's more like a 3. I'm just trying to make up for all the 10 votes out there. I don't understand how anyone can rate this above 4 - I've read stories 30 pages long with a better story than this pice of ****.

A truly amazing story with realistic characters. I felt really sad as the story came to a close because I really enjoyed reading it, but it's good the fact that the author ended it before she got clumsy with the story by adding random arcs.
The art.. it was spectacular. You can really tell how much detail and dedication went into the sketches in almost every page. From the clothing to facial expressions. A real work of art.
The ending.. it was suitable in a realistic sense. Not the "..and they lived happily ever after." crap that you might see.
The Velvet Kiss
This is the best manga so far that I've read from Harumi Chihiro nest is Come Come Vanilla. The Story is mainly about a finding and having a good relationship. The female lead is finding someone to care for her deeply while the male lead is a kind person and always gets dragged by the girl.
The art is defenitely Harumi-sensei style which is the best the female characters are so good looking and cute and the male characters too are good.
The story is good for a borderline Hentai manga even though there are many sex scene its just part of the development of their reletionship and the story. Even though you would expect a wishy washy story of a borderline-H manga the story is the one that shows its greatness, its like the Ecchi part is just an fan service.
I really liked it especially the final chapter which shows true love, and I can say that this is one great romance manga that i have read so far in this kind of genre!!
This manga did everything that is expected of a mature, romance, slice of life manga: I got incredibly attached to the characters and to the relationship that formed between them. That feeling that you get at the end of a series when you are sad to see it end is really the defining point of a good manga.
I don't really get it
i think that her aunt / step mom is so shitty who the hell would marry their sisters husband right after she dies Almost everyone in this manga is weird
