From Del Rey: Love Roma is a story of love at first sight - literally. When Hoshino sees Negishi for the first time, he asks her to be his girlfriend. Shocked, Negishi nevertheless agrees to allow Hoshino to walk her home, where he explains why he is in love with her. feel great that I read it
In the beginnig, I didn't have any feeling that want to read this because I don't like this drawing style. But this time I am bored so I give it a try and I recovery that this is very funny very hilarious and addictive. The characters development is very good. The main male character is the importance role that make it's very funny and I have never seen this type of male leading character before. And The main female lead character is a good receive gag. When combine this couple it make a very good hilarious story. The words that this couple said, it touch my heart. There're many scene that make my heart warming with the sentence that hoshino or negishi said. The story doesn't has any serious matter that can make I laugh but when I read every chapters, I must laugh once or more than that.
Great heart-warming & hilarious story that all I can say.
Now I feel delight that I don't ignore and read it.

It was pretty good, the art is very plain and it felt like a regular person drew it, which helped me connect to the story better. With the art being all right at best, the story was tons better, great funny, love, and weird moments. It is great growing up story, and it will be one of my favorites.
One of the best romance/comedies out there
It's been a while since a manga with under sub par art suprised me like this, it's by far one of the best romance/comedies i have read to date. So what if the mangaka didn't take anatomy class, the story is so good that you would forget about the art completely after a couple of chapters.
I definetely can see why this manga won an award, i give it a 8 because of the art but i reccomend people start reading this.
Awww what a nice manga
I really liked this manga... despite the art being less than refine, it was very charming in its own way. After a while, I actually kinda liked it even.
The characters are very likable and the story is pretty funny. I'd glad I decided to give this a chance instead of passing it up just because of the art.

10 for story and characters 7 for art
This is a really good, simple love comedy. The main guy is one of a kind.
really good :D
Excelent series! Really original and funny, no cliches or stupid plot twists, just an every day life story. Worth your time (even if u are a boy or a girl) and entertaining, i recommend it to everyone!
Ok just to start this out.... dont be fooled by the art, even tho its a little weird, u wont question it at all after a while. The art is umm special but the hilarious/romantic storyline makes up for it and more. the lead male (Hoshino) is the most straightforward guy u will ever find in the world. saying blunt stuff like "wanna have sex?"right in front of a crowd this manga will make u laugh a lot u MUST read it.
If you can get by the artwork, there's a lot of good to be found here
I'm just going to say it up front - I really hated the artwork in this one. I don't know if it's the author's particular style, or if they chose to do it this way on purpose, but in either case it's really not very good. In fact, when I first started reading this I questioned whether I would be able to get through it simply because of my distaste of the artwork. And, unlike other art styles that start off terrible, but improve as the manga goes on (think of the the difference between the first chapters of Ah! My Goddess as compared to the more recent ones, for example), this one stays consistently bad throughout the course of the story.
But you know, with all that said, by the time I was halfway through the first volume I really didn't even notice anymore. It's just a great, great story with interesting characters and a fantastic "hook" that sets it apart from the majority of other romantic comedies I've read. True, there are other stories where the main character is honest to a fault, gullible, etc., but they're usually done in a "fish out of water" type scenario, where the person has been living outside of normal society for whatever reason. This is the first manga I've read that doesn't use that approach, and it works remarkably well.
So, an interesting story, great humor, lovable characters, and a genuinely touching romance override whatever faults there may be with the artwork. If you're a fan of the genre, give it a shot - I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Completely hilarious and heart-warming to boot. The characters are unique and lovable, from the first to the last of them, and the humor is always enjoyable and oftentimes unexpected when, as it's been pointed out, it deconstructs what you've come to expect from a romantic comedy. This series needs to be read by anyone who wants to laugh; yet I have a feeling that this is one of those series that stay with you for a long time after you finished them, and might put a smile in your face just by remembering them. I know I'll remember Negishi and Hoshino warmly, and will come back to them again, one day.
