From Del Rey: It's a gorgeous, spacious mansion, and four handsome, fifteen-year-old friends are allowed to live in it for free! There's only one condition - that within three years the guys must transform the owner's wallflower niece into a lady befitting the palace in which they all live! How hard can it be?
Enter Sunako Nakahara, the agoraphobic, horror-movie-loving, pockmark-faced, frizzy-haired, fashion-illiterate recluse who tends to break into explosive nosebleeds whenever she sees anyone attractive. This project is going to take more than our four heroes ever expected: it needs a miracle!

Not to be taken seriously.
It used to be fun despite the length, but now, at chapter 112, I'm just getting tired.
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Kyohei's pretty much admitted he loves Sunako, and Sunako's still nowhere near realizing she loves him too purely so there can be more meaningless fillers.
I want emotion. I want confessions. I WANT THE END, DAMNIT!! I used to be a faithful reader who would follow every monthly update, but no more! After years of faithfulness, I have finally realized: PGE is not to be taken seriously. I am no longer going to wait at the edge of my seat for the When-will-they-finally-get-together dance to end. I can't be bothered to hype about every update anymore.
It's not to say that it's a bad manga. It's fun. Pointless, brainless fun with occasional chapters of shallow depth (contradicting, I know, but the only way it makes sense). But it's really not to be taken seriously. Just go watch the anime instead and save yourself some grief. Or, better yet, THE DRAMA, WHICH WAS SO MUCH BETTER.
Yes. I believe everything can be forgiven in the light of it all inspiring the drama. <333
WATCH THE JAPANESE DRAMA VERSION INSTEAD, YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Just Read It.
This manga is amazing. it makes me laugh all the time (: i've seen both the anime & drama and i love them both too only thing is, i've seen better art...but overall, i love this manga
**Edit** So, this is really dragging on...I still love it and all that, but it's going no where...it's totally strayed from the original plot...she's still nowhere NEAR becoming a lady

This is going nowhere.
I doubt this will go anywhere, but I still like it. I love Sunako, but that's about it. I guess it's just my guilty pleasure or something xD
I used to be obsessed with this but the later chapters are such a letdown. I know the mangaka doesn't put any effort into at all. In comparison to a stellar manga like NANA, in which the mangaka adores her characters so much she spends A LOT of time making it perfect for readers, the Wallflower is garbage. Reading this mangaka's sidebars and extra pages, she is always complaining and moaning about how she'd rather go to a concert, and how she has to drag her friends to help out. Wtf? A real mangaka sucks it up for the readers. It's your profession. And it shouldn't be so hard, because you should love what you do, and the characters you draw. The manga storyline itself isn't even a storyline. If you're looking for a GOOD story that has several little plots like the Wallflower, try Akuma to Dolce.
First a manga, then a anime' now a drama!
I must say that at first i wasn't really into the series as i only saw the covers in the bookstore. Than a little later someone recommend it to me and told me what it was about. Later, I get a Dvd preview of random ep which show the wallflower on it, and with some more info from a friend i decide to finally give it a shot, After watching the first ep with my sister, i fell in love it and decided to buy the anime and it was awesome. After that I bought the manga and i still love it even now. Then i just recently found out that they made a drama and i got very excited cause i don't normally watch dramas but for this series i was willing to give it a shot. Now after I just finish watching it, i have to put this in my top favorites manga series.
I love the lessons and morals of each chapter and ep that come with this story on how to be a lady. Characters are all different in there own little way and share a bond that can never be broken.
As for the artwork kellykei, this artwork is not bad, it just that some people would think they look like girls when there not, otherwise it very beautiful.
The girl in this series is different, not innonce and not stupid (in fact very smart and good at cooking) and likes horror stuff that makes her different and the 4 boys are trying to change in order to get their free rent by becoming a lady, which people complain about but I don't understand why. People hate stupid, wimpy heroines in story but now there's a different one and now people don't like it? Make up you mind!
As for the manga being to long... I love that it is cause i wanted the anime and drama to continue but didn't which I find very sad but at least the manga keeps it alive but I do hope that it ends beautifully.
Not only does this story has lessons but it pack full of comedy and fun that keeps you wanting more, especially with the main heroine who can't seem to get herself out of trouble. It also has romance that is very cute to watch as you read it. I wish this series made a movie or 2nd season of either the anime or drama. I must say that Sunako's personitly is quite similar to Sawako in Kimi ni todoke who also like horrors and is changing both inside and out. I higly recommend this series to you for i fell in love with it. So don't judge a book by the cover or artwork cause it's all about the fun and plot.
well this should have ended already, but damn it i love it i think it's so funny, it's by far my favorite shoujo manga and one of my favorites overall but yeah it's been dragging for too long and it's still ongoing and it really should be getting to an end where sunako finaly realises she's in lobe with kyohei too.
Love it, Always will
I love this manga! The main character is a horrifically adorable teenage girl obsessed with darkness. As 4 ridiculously cute bishounen try to turn her into a lady, we witness wacky events, desperate attempts and glimpses of love along the way. I personally adore the art style. The chibi versions are so cute and the leads are drawn beautifully. It's not the best I've seen, but it's definitely good. Now, a lot of people think it's too dragged out, which is true. This manga seems extra long, for no purpose. But personally, after re-reading it good 3 or 4 times, I realize there are very few chapters I'd actually wish weren't there. I love the little stories so much! Each one is funny, cute, frustrating, and sweet and they always keep me entertained. I've been following this series for years and will keep on doing so. I hate when a good story ends, so I don't care if this went on another 100 chapters. (though a swifter ending would be greatly appreciated).

Its okay. I mean the story is FANTASTIC. BUT the one thing is the art. The isn't that great and its a let-down. Because you have such a good story-line but bad art. So I would reccomend this to somebody as long as they ignore the art.
To be honest I can´t decide whether or not to like this manga. It surely is different, seeing as the female lead is a girl who you think just jumped out of a horror movie. I really loved that. The fact, that this manga, even though being a shojo, seemed so much different from all the others I had read, so I was really excited at first. But this excitement soon ebbed away, because if there is a manga out there that deserves the term "too dragged out" it is this manga. I really tried to give this manga a try and the first few chapters were really amazing, but after a while I just couldn´t continue on. I started again and again, but there was a point were one just stopped reading, because it became so boring and seemed like any other adventure manga, where just nothing happened at all and it felt like the mangaka just kept on writing for the sake of doing something. When is it going to be finished? All in all this isn´t one of my favourites, the artwork is ok, but nothing really eyecatching. Still you should give it a try at least, because the story is different, funny and hilarious, while also teaching you something about tolerance.
Not the typical but still a typical
The thing that stands out the most in this Manga is the fact that the main character is not your typical shoujo type girl. It is interesting to know that the Mangaka plays with the main characters personality making her interesting to read. I can say that this is not your typical manga and its real orientation is romance with a touch of melodramatic comedy.
I gave this a 9/10 rating because of my biased love for comedy/reverse harem types of Mangas. But I must say that this is definitely one great Manga to read!
