Disappointed...

This manga completely butchered the drama and movie. What in heaven's name did they do to Mika's character? She's nothing like she is in the drama or movie. I don't feel the character's emotions like I did in the movie and the plot is simply nonsense. Honestly, I would suggest to anyone who wants to read this manga, watch the movie or drama instead. It's so much better

I wasn't expecting anything from this. I never read reviews, too many expectations then. It has a good pace, good unexpected but not unbelievable twists, and hey, what shoujo main character isn't incredible stupid (I just expect that now). This is the first manga I would give a rating of 11 if possible. This of course is subject to change depending on how it ends.

Can't really agree with most of the comments here. Sure, I've seen the drama and I loved it. Now afterward, reading the manga, at least I understand WHY Hiro's being such an ass, so I can't hate him for it. He's got his own reasons and the only thing I'm looking forward to in this manga is how mika will find out about them and how she'll react. That's the only reason I even continue reading this. But apart from that, I think it's not too bad like most of you say, but I do admit it's a bit unrealistic.

The manga totally destroyed the image of the flawless Koizora drama that I saw. Ironically, I read the manga first. BLAH. Anyway, for all those who are thinking about reading the manga, I strongly suggest you watch the drama instead. Although they are usually lamer than mangas, it will definately leave you stunned and prove you wrong (not to mention make you cry 10 gallons of tears). =]

this was utter crap, i dont like how the mangaka has portrayed mika in this series, shes completely different from the actual drama/movie, and she doesnt seem to stand out infront of other girls. i dont see how hiro would like her. i think the author could have stuck a bit more to the plot in the way mika is and how she met hiro, mika shouldn't be childish, or short, even by changing mikas character, this manga doesn't have the same feeling as to when i watched the actual movie and drama. and i dont like how the mangaka has made nozomu like mika causing her to break up with aya, there's too much drama for a manga to handle so for now im giving this manga a 3, only because its based on a novel, drama and movie which were all so good.

Honestly i am LOVING this manga soo much. The romance is progressing pretty fast, the characters have been developed well and all the drama has had me at the edge of my seat. I have no idea how its gonna end and this is probably why i love it so. The arts is really good too which helps ^^. I need more of this genera in my life (i'm probably alone in my thinking).

This manga shouldn't have made... trying to adopt the novel... not even half of it is great... I watch the drama and the movie... it was amazingly done but the manga is such a dissapoint ever!!! the main girl is to naive.. super duper... I hate her and the guy is the worst ever... if you feel dissapoint with this manga watch the movie/drama you'll like it... if you read this you'll regret it!!

Soap+Opera meets Japanese Manga

Ever wondered how draggish a soap opera can be? Yea. It's this manga that I'm refering to.. I hate reading overly dramatic 'tragedy' mangas like Life and Deep Love - Ayu no Monogatari
but Koizora is Horrible.. it's just too much Drama going on.

FACT: the heroin is always the victim. The guys are all jerks in this manga and the girl suffers and her stupidity makes her carry all the burden by the people around her.

Seriously... this manga tells a story of RAPE, Drugs, Teenage pregnancy, suicide, teen romance and the society??

Oh please...This mangaka's standard is not even close to the works of Momochi Reiko.

I also was like ":/? this is REAL LIFE!?"...come on in real life people have a little SENSE....

I saw the drama and I did was like 'sh*t even the mexicans/americans can make a really good RAPE SCENE' (f*ck they only put the girl screamin' and stuff not so good the way she was, but then again...).

I saw a post in another forum and I read this "he acts in that way 'cuz he have a problem" well...yeah he really does have a problem but -.- ugh...

if you like it good. if not read cat street hahaha ok.

Well, I DO like drama, and reading a shoujo that's not too cheesy is nice, but this one is just unbearable. Seriously, I've read until volume 3 and I just need to stop before I get depressed.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
'Til now the female character got raped and harassed, tried to commit suicide, got pregnant, had a miscarriage, got dumped... At that point she's back with her boyfriend but treated like trash, plus that guy turned into some kind of cheap junky... All of this in what, 6 months?

Not only is it depressing, it's also completely unrealistic (THIS is based on a true story??) And it's going on for 7 volumes, and not completed yet?? Have mercy!

3 points for the nice art.
