I started reading this manga like forever and a day ago and just got around to finishing it now. Its true, after chapter 60 it's just bad. It just ends without any explination at all. Its like "HOLY CRAP! DEMON KING!" then "don't worry I've got a feather :-)" okay that nice and all, but could you rewind a bit, slow it down, and perhaps add some more spice please.
The art is so-so and the story is a bit bland after a while. A few interesting points here and there but it loses most of it's initial perversion later in the series. It does recover a bit of it in the end though.
Basically, this manga is...uneven. I personally enjoyed it so much that I was able to excuse the random moments in wihch the story was rushed or made too confusing. The ending...was satisfactory. It wasn't great because too much was unexplained, but at least it was happy.
Overall, I personally enjoyed this romance-oriented manga.
well this was GREAT up till around the 10th volume then it got all weird and freaky at the end. i was happier when it was still getting scanlated and could only imagine what will happen. dissapointed me in the end
The beginning... was amazing. Hands down. Unfortuneately, the rest of the manga had left a little something to be desired.
It started out great. I was addicted, and reading these chapters like my life depended on it. The middle was alright, a little overdramatic-y and slightly confusing, but I hoped it would get better. The ending... was paled in comparison to the beginning. The ending was so confusing, and somewhat felt so rushed, like the mangaka just wanted to finish quickly and come up with an ending that would leave everyone happy. It was a nice ending, it's just that there were too many loose ends and everything got extremely complicated with the whole demon king thing. It started out so cute, and so amazing that everything else was completely blah after it.
Hiyo was useless in all of it. And in the end the mangaka tried to make Hiyo more than the girl that was important, and it was so abrupt it wasn't working. Then Kurou became easily beaten. He was getting smacked around all over the place near the end, and then suddenly, he was all powerful. It would have been nice if it was consistant. But it wasn't, and that was a huge turnoff for me.
Over all, the manga was okay. It had a lot of potential, and then it failed towards the end. Just slightly disappointing. Sorry if you're a fan... =[
This manga is just terrible. First, the behavior of the characters are completely unrealistic. Osora almost gets raped on her first day at the school and she accepts it like it's a daily occurrence. Is there anyone in this world that would be that easy going? The others are just as bad. Kouro acts like a king from the middle ages. I don't know what audience the manga is targeting but I can't accept any of the characters' absurd behaviors.
The pacing starts out really slow and then goes really fast. During the switch, the story changes from school life with plausible events to wild "demon-slaying" fantasy. It's like the mangaka couldn't come up with a consistent storyline so he had a school life first half to develop the relationships between the characters before their fantasy adventures.
I started off growing addicted to the manga (read like 30 chapters in 2 hours). Towards the middle, everything just wasn't as great, but I stuck to it hoping for a comeback with a good ending. And sadly I was disappointing. I was completely confused with what's happening to the characters (they were disappearing, but it didn't seem to be made so clearly since all I remember was Hiyo crying when she asked her friends where so-and-so went and they claimed they didnt' know them to begin with). I'm not sure if it was just me or what, but the art also seemed to be getting worse towards the ending. The ending was a complete disappointment. They started the story off slowly, but it was interesting. They just ended the whole Demon King deal so quickly and I don't even completely understand how it ended.
I LOVED this manga in the beginning like crazy, I'd be waiting for new updates every day... then it just started to die a little around the 60th chapter (like some other person said).. it was just rushed, and started to get ridiculously repetitive... I feel like the author was getting a little bored of the story.. so the readers because a little bored too (or at least I was) I just finished reading the manga a few minutes ago and I thought that the ending was a dissapointment... it could've ended a lot better... but what can you do? It was still an okay read. I give it a 6.8 (it's only that high because of how much I liked it before...) *sigh* ... & I has such high hopes for this manga too...
the art was okay,, but the overall story were not. i continue reading this just because ive already read some vol n it kinda interesting in the beginning n just wanna know how it ends. the whole story really made me bored. its just a fan service or something like that. im not quite excited reading this, the story just keep repeating one into another. im even more interested in hiyo dad. well, i guess if u dont reaaaaly have other 2 read, i guess its okay 2 read it. even its not that good. i'll give the point score just for the beginning n the art. not for the whole story. its crap.. (sorry 4 anyone who like this manga, but thats true..)
I really liked this manga, started off good and followed with an "ok" middle. The beginning gave off such a good impression however that you got quite dissapointed with the rest since they pretty much dropped the ecchi parts. But the ending, starting at around chapter 60... It was just far too rushed and quite confusing that it left quite a bad aftertaste. Or rather, it was quite horrible in my opinion and really ruined the manga :/ Next time I read it I doubt I'll go further than ~c60, because after that it's just bad.
