From Simple Scans:

In the Spring she was 16, Takamiya Naho receives a strange, but detailed letter from herself, ten years in the future. At first she thinks the letter is a prank, but then the things written in the letter actually happen, including the new transfer student that sits next to her in class, Naruse Kakeru.
The letter reads just like her diary entries, down to the same characters. It is not till two weeks later, when Kakeru shows back up at school, that Naho finishes the letter.

In the letter, her 27-year-old self tells her 16-year-old self that her biggest regret is that Kakeru is no longer with them in the future, and asks her to watch him closely.

This manga is soo light and peaceful, but it has tragedy slapped right across it and as previous user said below, that it has a bittersweet tone. I'm usually not a big fan of tragedies, but this one seems different. It feels that suwa will play a huge role in this series. I really want to see how this will play out, would it be a happy ending or a sad one. So far I predict that naho will save takeru but still will marry suwa smile

This seems like it's going to be a really good manga. I appreciate the thought and hardwork that comes into writing it, because it has such a unique and complicated plot. I just hope that it doesn't become a melodramatic hot mess.

Wow this manga is just... amazing.... It made me tear up in just one chapter.... So many feelings from this manga, nostalgia and regret, mystery and bittersweet happiness... I usually don't like mangas where they try to change the past for this one I sincerely hope the past can be changed... I love her artwork too it has a very ink-like texture to it.

Only two chapters are out but i can tell that this is a series that I'll be following doggedly. Showing what happens in the past and the future is a technique that I feel works extremely well in romances.

It's hard to say much about it without spoiling the story :/

EDIT: mmk, 4 chapters in and this is still awesome. biggrin
EDIT 2: Just wanted to emphasise the fact that this series is awesome. I don't rank many shoujo that highly, only perhaps 2 other long & still running series (Oresama Teacher and Reimei no Arcana) would be counted amongst my favourite manga ever. Hmm, getting side-tracked :/
It's fantastic.
EDIT 3: Up to 8 chapters now and the most recent twist has me so excited. \o/
I realise not many people would view one of the first comments for a series as it's ordered newest->oldest but...if you're reading this comment, go read Orange!!
EDIT 4: Just thought I'd add that the chapter where they discuss time-travel was kinda disappointing. It very much feels like it was shoved in there and hammered in.
Also, it's pretty hard to tell what Kakeru is actually thinking or feeling.

From 2 chapters, I have yet to find a flaw in the story. The pacing is perfection, the characters are beautifully portrayed, and the plot is so gripping. It's emotional and bittersweet, it makes you smile but it can even make you shed a tear.

By far, the best I've read from this mangaka. I highly recommend it. smile

The tone is very... serene, and the romance feels real. It's really, really interesting, but the mangaka better explain the time traveling letter.

Oh god, when we find out the reason why they shouldn't have invited Kakeru. akjsdhajglsjdhg--the regret, I can't even imagine. But it kind of annoys me. If future Naho only explained it earlier--gah--then Naho would have had a chance to change things.

Right off the bat, the story pulled me in. It's really interesting and so refreshing. Quite a change from Yumemiru Taiyou (which is also good).

I kind of teared up as the chapter went on because I could feel the tragedy and bitter-sweetness that this story is going to have. I'm so curious how this story will continue on and how it will turn out with the help of her future self telling her past self these things.

Of course, I'd prefer it to be a happy ending but I don't want it being a typical, obvious route of Naho saving Kakeru, but you know, we don't even know how he died and other reasons, so its still a mystery. And yeah, I can sense that Suwa likes her and its interesting they ended up together in the future.

All I can say is, 'damn, I want to read more!' Been a while since a shoujo manga has really sucked me in.

/edit - just read chapter two. and well...

That was a pretty tear-jerking chapter (well for me that is) because when you find out why they shouldn't have invited Kakera that day was just ;___; yeah, made me slam my keys lol. If only future Naho was more specific but even so, the story thus far is reallllllllly good. Just how everything flows and the addition at the end, where they show their future selves

Its amazing. The first chapter was so good i fan-girled throughout it. Still i was reading one of the comments below and the person said they didn't want it to take the generic happy ending route, i wonder if it will. I'm a bit apprehensive about that now.

Its a great manga so far at one chapter give it a try!

I thought Orange would be a romantic comedy just like Yume Miru Taiyou, but it's more bittersweet and a tad mysterious when someone knows what could happen in the future. Future Naho wants her regrets to be cleared up and wrote a letter to the present Naho. It seems Kakeru died during those 10 years after their first encounter and it's still not explained why (would be too much for the first chapter anyway).
The art is incredibly awesome and I sense something dramatic to happen.
To make it short: I highly recommend this manga, one of Betsuma's best. smile

This is quite a change from her previous work yumemiru taiyou. Right off the bat, orange already has that bittersweet flavor. The characters are interesting and you can already connect with them. Though i hope the series wont go the obvious route with Naho saving takeru, living happily ever after, as it would seem like the "future Naho" doesnt appreciate the seemingly happy life with Suwa, who seems to have stuck with her through her loss of Takeru.
