Um... Let's see... OK, for shojo, I'd have to say "Blue Ramun", and "Hanatsuki no Hime". They're both really good series, I definently reccomend them. :3 Although I don't know if Hanatsuki counts as middle eastern...

Shoukoku no Altair is set in Turkey, if that's fine.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

Suna no Ue no Rakuen - The first story in the completely scanlated volume, which takes up 2 chapters, is set in the middle east. The author is the same one behind "Hyakki Yakoushou" a.k.a. "Select Pandemonium". The illustrations are absolutely gorgeous. The setting is also fictional like Aladdin, but distinctly middle eastern/North African 🙂

Quote from aneste

A Night of a Thousand Dreams it is yaoi!!!

It's still shoujo (and more shounen-ai than yaoi), but worth the read from what I hear.

Saratte Watashi no Knight
(sequel to Aru Hi, Knight ni Attanara, which isn't set in the middle east, IIRC.)

Hanatsukihime and Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen (mentioned above) are sort of a middle eastern-like setting, though not of our world.
