i have an idea

like twitter or facebook its very simple to use "@" in order to tag or link someone into your comments

well i think it would be cool if mangaupdates could do this

if we could use the @ to mention a manga or author it seems like it would be alot more simpler
all though im speaking for myself, tell me what u think

We already have BBCode manga and author tags... Vampire Knight HINO Matsuri... what's the point? They're not exactly complicated.

only for the purpose of making it more convenient, why not make it easier

...by making an @ sign

it will all benefit MU in success by learning from others

sometimes we research to understand people are more attracted to and find more convenient
in this case the most successful websites are using the @ for there advantage

I appreciate the idea but regarding the use of BBcodes, the idea is just too small to cause any significant changes. In other words, not worth it.

Worthless, pointless, waste of time. No one else seems to share your opinion that it's really much of an advantage- I think we can agree that the functionality of the site really wouldn't change much as the feature is already in place in BBcode form. There's no need to fix something that isn't broken.

If something doesn't result in significant improvement, it's not worth the effort when a decent alternative not only exists, but is already in place. This isn't twitter- there's no reason to pretend that it is.
