ends up with someone who comes later in the story...

So yeah. I was watching a local drama and there I was thinking the girl would end up with the guy she'd known since the beginning of the drama. And then, I got the shock of my life when I learned she picked the guy who came in much later in the story. I kinda liked the idea.
I'm looking for a manga/anime/drama where the girl will end up with someone who is introduced later or in the middle of the story.
If that's still unclear, i'll give an example:
a.Something like Sakuragaoka Angels. But not really since it's not known who she ends up with.
b.Someone like Hinata Shitani from Maid Sama. Although he doesn't end up with Misaki, but he came late in the story.
b.Girl and Boy1 are classmates. They spend time together ie class reps or something, and then girl falls in love. It is unrequited however. A semester or two passes and in comes Boy2, who, for some reason transferred to their school. Boy1 takes leave off school for a week and somehow, Boy2 charmed his way to Girl's heart. The story ends with Girl and Boy2 as bf-gf. (Yeah, that's a cliche example, but hey that's the simplest I could think of 😛 )
Here's the catch:
There has to be real competition for the girl between Boy1 and Boy2
Should be a completed manga
The girl shouldn't readily fall in love with Boy2
Any genre except mature stuff
(will edit if needed..I couldn't think much right now. Still can't get over the shock I had about mentioned drama above)
Thank you~
😃

This topic does sound interesting. I know this isn't my thread, but if you guys can, is there any Shounen/Sienen available in this category?

This is the first story that popped into my mind: Honey and Clover <3 (especially when things get resolved in season 2!!)

Nana fits perfectly.
She moves to Tokyo to be with the guy she likes but she ends up in a love triangle with two people who come much later in the story.

Momo Raba <== Usually it's really easy for me to figure out who the main character is gonna end up with, but this was one of those rare series that I actually had trouble figuring out 😛

I'm biased... I watched the anime. 😛 It's seriously like watching a drama (when you start around episode 4+). Reading reviews online, there are some people who loved the anime didn't like the manga, and others who loved the manga but didn't like the anime. So... I guess pick based on the vibe you get from it? 😀 (The anime follows the manga, so phew... no worries about plot differences!!)

I've had Honey and Clover suggested to me several times, and every single person told me to watch the anime because it was a lot better (I haven't gotten around to it yet, so I can't vouch for it, but from what I can tell, the general consensus is that the anime is better).

Is this thread inspired by the film
Pearl Harbor caused that film is ridiculously sad.
When you said Cat Street somewhat fits the description, I come with suggestions of stories that may suit your liking. They have similar feel to Cat Street where the main female lead would end up with somewhat an unexpected guy later on. Not with the first guy that we thought will be with her to the end:
PLEASE CHECK FOR completion status (if you want to read it online) since except for Show Princess (which there's a Taiwanese drama for it), I already bought and read those manga in my country so it's considered finish in my part.
the female lead won't end up with her first love
Silent Eye but I'm not going to spoil the story.... ;P
Friends (MASHIBA Hiromi) but I may be wrong
GALS
Koucha Ouji
Yokohama
Swan - Hakuchou fits
Show Princess sorta
Seito Shokun! really really sad. You need a box of tissue when you read it
Darling Kishidan kinda open ending though
Anyhow, may not have competition between the guys because either guy 1 left the country, it's a one-sided love or she will simply have no interest with guy 1 but just a deep friendship feeling
Help! I'm looking for... manga with dangerous guys http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=39874&page=1#post594033
