I dropped Deadman Wonderland and Highschool of the Dead because of slow releases, so i guess that's what gets me.

Winrar is you.
I dropped it since it sucked.
Well, all I've dropped either
didn't interest me enough or
there were no releases to keep
me interested or then they just
sucked like Air Gear or TT.

Hana Yori Dango- It just kept going on and on.
Naruto- Self explanatory. I might start reading it again though, who knows.
Air Gear-It pretty much went downhill after a few volumes.

i drop a series when the story goes bad (Naruto) or there's a character that's been bugging me from the start and he/she gets more and more annoying to the point i can't stand reading anymore (Shaman King).

I don't drop series that often, but I do when it gets so boring/confusing/annoying to the point where I can't stand it anymore

For me, it's when a story turns bad. Or better yet, when it becomes unbelievable and just destroys itself.
If it gets boring, I'll drop it for a while and pick it up later on when some more chapters come out (Bleach and Gantz)
I don't drop a story just because of art, because it's usually those manga that have very good stories to make up for the art (Early Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and early Bleach)
Slow releases allow me to catch up to a manga when I first get to it, and I don't have to worry about looking every week for releases (Highschool of the Dead, Liar Game, Mirai Nikki, and Bitter Virgin when it was still ongoing)
I also like series that keep going on and on, but only if it's done right (One Piece, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Hajime no Ippo) and not when it could have (And should have) ended long ago, but it didn't (Any romance/harem manga that goes over 15 volumes)
And I always have time to read manga, so that isn't a problem.

My main reason is because I lost interest. Another would be because of the story's length. Like 30 volumes, dear lord, I couldn't finish Rave. I mean I like it, but I didn't like it enough to survive that many volumes.
As for Naruto, I never read the beginning since I've been following the anime (dropped 2 years ago) and went straight to the time-skip.
But even so, my OCD prevents me from dropping series as often.

The only series I've ever dropped is Naruto, and that was mostly because I simply lost interest. I guess I didn't really like how the story was developing either. I rarely drop anything though.

Death Note was great till L died. His replacements just didn't quite make the cut for me.

I don't usually "drop" manga, they just get permanently put on hold.
When there is too much time between reading the next chapter or next volume of something. I forget what happened, but don't feel like wasting time re-reading what I already read to remind myself. And I put it on the shelf to get back to later. And start reading new manga and series.
I end up dropping most long series.
I do also drop things if they start to confuse or bore me.
And I'll drop things that annoy me.

I get bored enough to keep up with just about anything I start; usually the only reason I stop reading a series is because it wasn't that good and I get sick of waiting for new releases. So I voted "Slow releases"

i got bored because either the story was turning bad like vampire knight or series just kept going on and on without any progress like skip beat.
