Okay so recently I've begun to notice a trend in the manga (especially shoujo!) I've been reading, where the girl - given a choice between the yankee or the friend and the princely type - chooses the prince. Don't get me wrong, I generally like the prince type (especially in OHSHC 😉 ) but I'd really love to read a manga where she doesn't go for that type. Especially as the prince type can sometimes be completely manipulative, egocentric bastards (if lovable I guess) and the other guy looses out anyway 🙁

To try to make it clearer, I guess I'm looking for a romance - preferably a love triangle - where its a guy who's not sparkly and who is maybe a bit rough around the edges and flawed or just a normal guy who gets the girl. Chocolat (KUBONOUCHI Eisaku) is a perfect example of this.

Preferably shounen or shoujo, straight main romance, no loli or incest please.
