There's nothing wrong in reaching a different conclusion than others. This just makes things more interesting to discuss. Well, I myself like Frankenstein much more than Rai and I would be happy if the series was about him but I know it isn't.

Quote from strixflash
The amount of spotlight/ screenspace doesn't decide whether a character is main or not. Out of all the people in Franky's house, Rai and Seira gets the least amount of screen space..

The manhwa is all about Rai and just about him. It's just that his defination of himself includes all the other characters surrounding him.

Rai's desire for a peaceful life equals to the existence of the Children. The feeling someone protects you equals to Franky and rest of RK. And since the manhwa is all about him the other characters who are important to him plays the main role.

(Rai is a silent character and not to mention a oneshot killer...... How could you expect him to take much of screenspace/spotlight with this qualities?)

Also, Rai would have involved with traitors even if there was no Frankenstein. Sooner or later they would have tried to kill him as he was the biggest threat to their plan of world domination. Rai didn't involved himself with small fries as they were the responsibility of clan leaders.

Everything in the series started from Rai. Rai's awakening lead to all the conflicts so far. The school exists for him and only him. All the seasons so far have taken Rai as the centre point (possibly excluding Season 2's second half).

PS: Not to be rude but please discuss about The Breaker in its own section.

Dude, relax the guy is just trying to probe for peoples opinion in the matter, your responses have been kinda rude and negative trying to state your opinions as facts. Keep in mind that I don't read Noblesse so I can't really say anything, but I believe that a MC that isn't really exposed much and is just around isn't really much of an MC, given the name of the manga is Noblesse, from what I have read it is either a title or being that Rai is, now just because it is named after that it doesn't mean that he really is the MC but rather it can be about the being/title of Noblesse and revolving around that. But seeing as he is being advertised as the MC and all then I cant really disagree that hes not the MC, but I have to say from the sound of it that he isn't much of a MC and the fact that a side character is the entertaining part of the webtoon doesn't really make much sense.

Umm. I have 2 things to address this part. 1) While it is published as a webtoon, Noblesse is just as much a plot arc driven series as any magazine serialized thing you might name. 2) As for the side characters... plenty of cases like that out there, especially the big ones. Ichigo is far less entertaining than many other characters in Bleach, for example. Uzumaki Naruto is (arguably) not the most entertaining character of his namesake series.

Hell, even though Raizel himself is basically totally devoid of a sense of humor (implied, not confirmed one way or the other), he is not an unfunny character. The series makes plenty of good jokes on and about him and he does have many moments of awesome. It's just that Frankenstein is *more* entertaining than his master, the nominated MC of the series.

Well when I called it a webtoon I didn't mean anything by it except call it for the format it is published in, in no way did I mean that it was any less plot driven than a magazine serialized manga. The second one however is a valid point which I shouldn't had forgotten, just newly awoke when I posted.

I already agree with that point, so just why are you arguing over it?

Hey, my first reply is my answer for your first reply,
Quote from HitsujinoHon
I second QueenVIP's reply.

Manhwa's Title = Noblesse => The one and only 'Noblesse' = Rai

The Strongest Character of Noblesse = The Noblesse => Rai

One of the most Respected Characters in Noblesse = The Noblesse => Rai

The most Good-natured Character of Noblesse = The Noblesse => Rai

The most mysterious character in Noblesse, someone even the enemies don't/hardly know about = The Noblesse => Rai

The only person whose mighty power Frankenstein truly acknowledges => Rai
(Frankenstein doesn't give a damn about anyone else at all. Rai can 'annihilate' anyone or make them do his bidding just by lifting his finger, while Frankenstein still needs to put up a good fight against really strong opponents.
I think Rai's mighty power was also one of the reasons that even someone as wicked, devilish and powerful as Frankenstein actually accepted him as his 'Master'.
He found Rai the epitome of good nature and power, and tipped his hat to him in admiration and respect.)

The only person Frankenstein truly respects => Rai

A Major reason for Frankenstein fighting against the Union => To carry out Rai's wish

The Character the Author & Artist of Noblesse use for publicity => Rai

Then you just mentioned WHY in your second reply
Quote from HitsujinoHon
It was not actually intended to mention "how a MC should be".

Simply I replied chronologically. You give some parameter and I said "No buddy, that won't do" but then in your second reply
Quote from HitsujinoHon
I used those parameters just to mention some points.
It was by no way intended to actually "describe the traits of a MC". Those were simply some major points in Rai's favor for the position of the MC. Nothing more and nothing less than that.

So, how the hell I know your intention in your first reply? The one who always brought back about those parameter isn't me, THAT'S YOU.

Quote from HitsujinoHon
You clearly wanted to say, "Despite the fact that 'The Breaker' is "Goomoonryong," he's not the MC."

Just what's your problem?
Quote from psycho-shocker
Why I use that word? Because in the previous example I purposely want to break the thought "the title is the MC". Next, I want to break those parameter, but because of my limited knowledge I ended up use the breaker which "the breaker" here refer to both Goomoonryong (the person that want to erase the border between murim and ordinary world) and Shioon (can use martial arts but don't even know what murim is and those reason you come up with). Goomoonryong is the strongest, the most respected, the master of Shioon, the reason Shioon to fight, the person whose power acknowledge by Shioon, etc. But the MC is Shioon.

Quote from HitsujinoHon
Have you even read the manhwa properly?!
He most probably 'won't remain the strongest' till the end, guessing by the developments.
He most probably 'won't remain the most respected'(Hmm, isn't he already loathed so much by others?!) till the end.
He is actually "the former" master of Shioon. So, you're wrong again.

I even gave the link in my first reply to you, you are the one who messed up the title, I talked about The Breaker which already complete NOT The Breaker New Waves.

Quote from HitsujinoHon
Shioon doesn't fight for him, but for his friends and comrades. The reason he even started learning to fight in the first place was, to protect his childhood friend. Have you even read this Manhwa properly?!
Unlike Frankenstein(who looks down on almost everyone except Rai), Shioon acknowledged not only Goomoonryong's power but that of other Martial Artists' too. There was no point in giving this reason.

The thing about "Shioon fight for" and "the cause of his to fight" is a different thing. Just read my reply properly.

Quote from HitsujinoHon
Frankenstein would be locked in Lukedonia(even Frankenstein couldn't do well against two clan leaders.

Who the hell would to lock him? As you know, THE LORD HIMSELF WANT TO MEET HIM.

Hey, you all always repeat this
Quote from strixflash
Rai is a silent character and not to mention a oneshot killer...... How could you expect him to take much of screenspace/spotlight with this qualities?

HOW ABOUT DEATH NOTE there are Yagami, Ryuzaki (Lawliet), Nate River, etc. Samurai X there is Saito Hajime, Lunar Legend Tsukihime there is Tohno Shiki (Shiki Nanaya), Superior Day, City of Dead Sorcerer, Liar Game, Kimi no Knife etc.

Quote from tragicking
Rai would have involved with traitors even if there was no Frankenstein. Sooner or later they would have tried to kill him as he was the biggest threat to their plan of world domination. Rai didn't involved himself with small fries as they were the responsibility of clan leaders.

Who knows? The story still in progress. May be if there's no Frankenstein, the traitor can easily subjugate the lord and the nobles because of unawareness and frame it so that looks like the lord himself and the loyalist are at fault so there's no need for them to fight Noblesse.

I just woke up embarrassed in the work-off day, my mood isn't really good you know?

@ psycho-shocker:

Well, it's quite clear that you are a "Frankenstein Fanatic," so it won't help trying to make you understand our opinion(why did you even ask for it then?!).

There's a BIG reason why only a certain faction is called 'Fanatics' after all.
They can't think of anything but the character/person/etc. they like, and have quite an unreasonable reasoning to glorify them, similar to you.

Enjoy reading 'Noblesse' assuming Frankenstein as the MC(although it's obviously wrong).
I could only hope that one day you step out of the darkness of your false assumption. smile
