Welcome! to the first installment of JUST MY TYPE ... of manga. That's right, manga.
Nowadays there are a lot of readers out there who are looking out for manga and comics that are ORIGINAL. Now, i am what you would call a devotist. If i find something i like, then i don't mind reading a few more of the same type of manga, no matter how similar the plot threads or character types might be.
This thread will be open up with a few well known titles and people can chime in when they think they know a similar manga title or two.
MY TYPE of manga this month is: Adventure / Shounen (More specifically, kid(s) in their -teens, going out on an adventure. Meeting new allies to join them, adventures they get into have them usually split up and fight enemies individually. With each arc they get stronger and stronger.)
Two well known titles that match this type description would be: One Piece and Violinist of Hameln.
(thanks to all who post!!) 😁

It seems that it is a little slow to start off, so i will add Rave Master to the list.
I will say that i've read all of the series listed and do enjoy them all. I haven't gotten very far into 666 Satan though, now that i hear that it's finished i might start reading it again. I'm currently reading the US releases (from the beginning) so it might take a while to get to the end of the series.

Though it's not your typical Shonen manga, I suggest King of Bandit Jing. A bit more out there and unusual compared to the previously mentioned titles.

i've noticed that all of the titles mentioned so far has been turned into animes, some better than others (i did not really like the violinist of hameln anime). i wonder if there is any good titles out there that haven't been made into animes yet.
Oh, and MAR. i tihnk that's the most recent one that i can think of. if you know of another title like these that came out after this one than i probably either overlooked it or just don't know about it.

I've been reading the US releases of Beet the Vandel Buster, i'm on v.5 right now and finally they got someone else to join their group. It looks to me that it's shaping up to be this type of manga.
I started the manga first and since their is also an anime series for this manga, after each story arc, i've been skimming through the anime version to see if there are any differences. Although the feel of the anime is similar to the manga, the order of the story arcs seems to be jumbled, its still good though.
I will probably continue to read the manga since i started it first.
