[m]Kaze no Stigma[/m], it's more of an anime and light novel than manga, but there is a manga version.

Here are some of my suggestion, check it out smile :

ID* - The main character gets more and more powerful

[m]The Chronicles of The Cursed Sword[/m]* - It took quite sometime but after the end of the first arc, he get really, really strong; strong enough to defies the god

Kurohime - She's so strong that she can even kill god, revive the dead, and do other godly moves and everything

Psyren - The main character power seem to be powerful enough to fit with ur description, i think.

*Refer to Korean manhwa

Overpowered is a relative term, and generally isn't used simply to state that someone is strong. In regards to this definition, I'd say your comment on ID and Kurohime are both very accurate.

Psyren and TCoTCS are inaccurate however since they have multitudes of other characters that are stronger than them in their respective series.

I second Jack Frost, Shina Dark, and Akametsu (Akametsu isn't even that strong, but relative to all the other characters he is remarkably overpowered.)

Code: Breaker I'll accept for now as an overpowered main character, but only because no other people with superpowers have been introduced. I have a feeling that by the time the first volume is out and scanlated, he will no longer be considered overpowered.

King of Hell I will second. Especially if he ever ends up permanently back in his adult form. Though as it stands, it appears in his child form he still has rivals.

Tsuto's Riki-Oh recommendation is a good one. Though at first look it appears he has rivals in power, Riki-Oh is actually the God of Manliness and won't die regardless of the amount of poison he ingests or blood loss he incurs.

Kaze no Stigma is another one I must disagree with. It's debatable whether the main character is Ayano or her brother. It's kind of a dual protagonist setup. Ayano is generally weaker than most considering how strong she -should- be... And her brother is, well... He's powerful, especially since we don't see his contractor powers much, however he doesn't fight much (and when he does the opponent is generally of the same power level.) However Ayano does 99% of the fighting with the male protagonist just watching and laughing.

I would add to the others:

Hellsing
Samurai Deeper Kyo
Rurouni Kenshin (For the first arc or 2)
Change Guy
Junk - Record of the Last Hero
Psycho Busters (Shaping up to potentially be that way soon.)

Like.. Samurai-X ?
Well, Gundam-00 will be sufficient too, though, it is disguised by the author.
