Im looking for a manga which is based on a female charachter persuing sports that shes good at and getting better at it, along with romance.
A really good example would be Crimson Hero, which I absolutely love, or Power.
It doesnt have to be shoujo but the main charachter should be female and there should definitely be romance.
I'd appreciate any suggestions, and if possible the manga should be more than five volumes, complete or nearing completion.

And you're right...there isnt nearly enough shoujo sports mangas.

I'll check some of those. Have been looking for mangas like Crimson Hero and Power.

The Cherry Project (by the author of Sailor Moon, that might tell you a little about what it's like). It's a little more focused on romance than the actual sport - figure skating - but I found that the skating scenes were some of my favourite parts; very beautifully drawn and inspiring. If you don't mind your manga old-style and a bit wishy-washy, if you know what I mean, you might enjoy it. [url]

Ice Revolution is one of the first not yet listed manga that came to my mind.
It's shounen, but maybe you'll like it. It's different from Crimson Hero and Power though, it's less "serious" and more comedy.

Kiss and Never Cry is a great manga about figure skating by the same mangaka as Kimi wa Pet. i still need the new chapter ;_;
