New Poll - Manga Influencing Your Decision

This week's poll is from our member icassop. Has anything that you read in a manga ever noticeably influenced you in some way such that you actually acted upon it? Comment below with your stories!

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related)
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: Do you read any of the translated web comics listed on MU?
Choices:
Lots! - votes: 1311 (26.5%)
Several - votes: 1778 (35.9%)
Haven't yet, probably would try - votes: 666 (13.4%)
Used to, but not anymore - votes: 299 (6%)
Never have, probably never will - votes: 902 (18.2%)
There were 4956 total votes.
The poll ended: November 7th 2015

Not too many voters compared to our usual polls, but I'm surprised that many of you do read web comics. I guess it's a rising form of entertainment.

New Release Policy - Completed Novel Chapters Only

We have decided that for novel releases, we are only allowing full chapter releases to be listed. No more of this chapter 3e-f stuff. Only submit the release once the entire chapter 3 is completely translated. This mainly affects groups like Baka-Tsuki, NanoDesu, and the smaller a0132.

For releases that are currently in the middle of a full chapter, we will allow you to complete the chapter with partial release listings. For example, the series Meiyaku no Leviathan (Novel) currently is on vol 3, ch 3a. You can submit a release for 3b and 3c; but once you get to ch4, you can only submit the release entry once the entire chapter has been translated.

This policy only affects novels and not manga, manhua, or manhwa. Policy is effective immediately.

New Poll - Web Novels

Another poll that's related to what someone suggested (this time our member MewMan) but not actually the poll they suggested. Any opinions on the surge of translated web novels?

New Poll - J-Pop

This week's poll stemmed from something our member luispauloml said, but it's not actually the question he (she?) suggested. For the uninitiated, J-pop is Japanese pop music.

New Poll - Sickness

Back to the normal user-suggested polls! This week's poll was rooted in an idea our member DragonReader had, but it's not quite what he had suggested. Basically we're asking about the most common thing you do when you get a mild sickness, such as a cold or the flu.

New Poll - Best Shounen (besides One Piece)

We had 163 people who nominated the Best Shounen series! Each person was allowed up to 5 nominations, and they gave 208 unique series. One Piece basically automatically wins this one (which is also what happened 6 years ago) since almost 30% of the people nominated it for being the best. So in the interest of making the poll more intense, it's not one of the choices anymore!

Here are the series that got a lot of nominations but didn't quite make the cut:
Yotsubato!
Barakamon
Death Note
Kubera
D.Gray-man
Haikyu!!
Mahou Tsukai no Yome
Slam Dunk
Fairy Tail

If you're curious what happened 6 years ago:
One Piece - votes: 4138 (28.5%)
Fullmetal Alchemist - votes: 3455 (23.8%)
Death Note - votes: 2917 (20.1%)

Yes, but very seldom - votes: 2937 (34.6%)
