Cliche of cliches

This manga is the definition of what shoujo cliches are. To be honest, by the end of it I felt that it wasn't worth reading. I guess if you really like shoujo cliches or if you're new to shoujos then maybe it won't be so bad for you.

The ending was okay-ish, but it lacks romance, it's like the story could continue somehow

The drawings are good, though.

The plot was cliche. Even what happened in between and the scenes were cliche. (How many times are we gonna see the heroine hug the hero from behind and say thank you while she's crying?)

BUT, it was a good read for anyone who is looking for something not complicated. The story from the boy's pov is good too. The most refreshing thing about this typical story was the heroine's personality.

It's a oneshot, so yeah just one thing. It's plenty neat since the boy was opened up to a new life, did things that his servants did. It's funny but romance didn't go far. Hina is so cute, happy and makes his life open up.

I was a little put off by the previous comment, but Hadaka no Oujisama turned out to be a far more enjoyable read than I had expected. It's a little different from your general shoujo manga; the main character is a spoilt rich boy, but he doesn't get much of a chance to throw his wealth around here because he has just been kicked out of his house by his father so that he can learn how to live like a normal person. His absolute failure to adjust and obvious dismay at having to do the simplest things, such as clipping his nails, are hilarious.

What is nice to see is that Matsukaze isn't really a jerk - his arrogance had come from having led an overly privileged existance, but once that's stripped away, he's quite a nice guy. Our "poor girl" character, Hina, acts mainly as the mechanism that changes his perspective about being a commoner. The fact that she's so happy even though her circumstances are hard forces him to reassess his own life, and the bond that develops between them is sweet. That said, there is very little in the way of romance. It's very much a growing friendship, but any romance will have to take place in one's imagination.

All in all, a really nice read! For people who liked the premise and wanted more of it, I'd recommend the Taiwanese drama, Office Girls, where a rich boy is similarly forced to live in a small apartment and work for his living.

A fair warning before you read this, don't expect much of a 'solid' romance in this manga. The romance is limited even for a average shoujo oneshot with this one. The story itself was smothered in cliches but I pretended that they didnt exist so that I could atleast enjoy something about this manga. At some points it reminded me of ouran high school host club but dont let that get you excited . This compared to ouran is like bruce lee compared to me.
All in all its a quick read about a rich, spoiled guy that knows nothing outside of his maids and never ending harems. It manages to be cute at some points but it is a oneshot, so dont count on much.
