i wouldve loved this so much more if this was a longer series. i was enjoying myself so much and wanted to cry when i realised there was no next chapter ;_;

A true gem: Its unorthodox art style and experimental telling of the story - constantly blending alternative fantasy scenarios that allow us glimpses of the characters psyches - are an absolute joy. The realism in the portrayal of human doubt, worry, sex drive are all beautifully rendered in tiny details that let you guess, rather than be told. This realism and the tiny details that let you understand the inner worlds of the characters through glimpses make for a titillating read that feels rather sensual in nature without ever giving too much away.

I had a continuous smile on my face reading this manga.

But it's just a glimpse of what it could have been if not for the abrupt ending. It's like planning for a trip, you get dressed and the end. Sure, getting dressed was very nice, but what about the actual trip?

I truly believed i'd give this a 10, but what a let down!

Udon no Onna is a charming portrayal of the beginning of a relationship, the story consisting half of reality and half of fantasy as the characters move through their everyday lives while daydreaming about each other. It's funny, drama-free and cliché is barely present, though there are a few plot devices in the second half that shoujo/josei readers will probably have seen before. As previously mentioned, this story is entirely about the process by which the love interests get together, so it's not for readers who are looking for lots of lovey scenes. Is for readers who are looking for a cute slice of life. Enjoy.

The art was what made me give this manga a high rating. The monologues are nice to read too, especially the ones when they secretly yearn for each other. I didn't give it a perfect score because the tension bewing between them wasn't fleshed out well in the end.

DEFINITELY worth the read. I wish it gets published in English (Chuang Yi please do iiiiiiittt), I really want to buy it.

I like the art style, and the protagonists (and even the ex-husband) are all so cute in their awkward ways. It also has a nice pacing/progression. None of that whirlwind romance thing which I don't have much problem with but after reading so many of that both from josei and shoujo manga, this one's a nice break. This manga definitely got romance and comedy down perfectly. Makes me wish it gets adapted into a movie.

Mr. Ex doesn't have to be concerned about her ex-wife affairs despite the circumstances...pfft

I can't believe I put off reading this series for so long!

It's such a refreshing manga after reading cliche-ridden shoujos. Both the leads are funny and the other characters are so likeable (especially the ex-husband)! The udon theme was hilarious. Who knew udon could be so entertaining? /sobalover

...without the ecchi or anything gross.
Both the female and male leads are so funny in their fantasies of each other. Who would have thought that udon, which usually is so bland and tasteless, can be so sexy? It was a perfect romance story in my book, but I was kind of wishing they would kiss or consumate their love at the end, or something perverted like that

Omg I was so grateful that I found this manga. The idea is very unique it's geniusly hilarious, I mean, sexual UDON, who would have guess? udon fetish, omg count me in. The way character develope their feeling somehow ridiculously believe able, and very cute at that I might add, also their sexual fantasies and frustrations are just adorable you will just crave for more!!
The art is amazing as well, the mangaka does a good job drawing their expression and transferring the story into papers.
This manga is a true gem, do yourself a favor, read this!!
