In middle school, Ichinose Kimitaka taught his friends how to play basketball. Despite his experience with the sport, his friends quickly outmatched him in skill. After an incident brought on by his frustration and jealousy, he was crushed to overhear those same 'friends' discussing how they wished he'd just kill himself.

On his way to toss out his special basketball shoes, he met a girl who was just as frustrated, throwing her own dancing shoes away. She was so tall, and her hands and feet are so large, that she had been rejected from her chosen hobby of Spanish dancing. He urged her to give basketball a try, and the two exchanged their shoes instead of throwing them away.

As he enters high school, Kimitaka learns that meeting him changed that girl's life for the better, and she is now a happy, social basketball player. Will Kimitaka be able to find the courage to make new friends and pursue his own talents?

I'm sorry but the main thing I kept noticing is their Food T-shirts! Damn.

But yea. That aside, i just knew it was Sahara Mizu's when i saw the cover art. It's a bit of a oddball slice of life with a somewhat dark but real theme going on.

Namari is brave and strong. The silent stoic type that really gets to you. I loved how the story is delivered in monologues and the boys are slowing getting together and discovering things.

It's not a loud flashy youth growth! kinda manga but it is quiet and pondering with a splash of gloom. Beautiful and yet fragile.

A sweet story about a girl and a boy who fulfill each others' dreams. Somehow they begin pushing themselves in order to keep up with the other. Personally, I give it a 10 because the message of standing tall after you fall is a great motive.

Well, I must say this is a rare manga... It's hard to wrap a deep moral message into a everyday life's situation story, and this author do it nicely... Hope the story will be amazing as before...

I thought it was gunna be boring since the protagonist is so gloomy. It's like he's sucking out my life energy (loljk) but I still decided to read all of the available chapters since the story is different (in a good way) from what I've always been reading. Glad I did coz by chapter 5 I just can't stop giggling (unfortunately, that's the last available chapter lol right after getting excited *sigh*)

plus Kikuchi Hana is cute. *bishie spotted*

I love this manga so much! Even though only 2 chapters are out. Love this author to death and I even have to say this is one of her better works! It's so heartwarming and cute and sweet. xD I would love to see this adapted to a drama one day... heheheheh

Like all Sahara Mizu mangas, this one is amazing. I just love they way she tells her stories. Though there are only two chapters are out, I'm surprised that no one has yet to write a review. I'm really excited about reading more! The characters are likable (despite what he originally did) convincing, and easy to relate to.
