Description
Umio is a shy kid who just started his part-time job at a manga store smack dab in the middle of the city. But his lifestyle isn’t as glamorous as the neon lights that illuminate the city. Umio’s closest friends are his co-workers who are all unique characters, to say the least, and although they're nice people, they have their quirks. They are a tight knit group of friends, have nicknames for each other and spend their weekends inside, sheltered from the extravagant scene happening on the outside.

Not a bad time waster

It's not really a manga that I like that much. I don't feel any particular attachment to the characters and it's not really funny. The things that do shine are the real life situations which are quite relatable in a way, be it about ambitions, work or romance.

It's certainly readable, but it's nothing special in any sense of the word. I also don't appreciate too realistic stories that much. I don't really feel attached to the characters. The author is jumping too much all over the place and giving every character a little bit of time each all the time, it does work when it comes to episodic comedies but the comedy isn't heavy enough in this particular case for it to work. The author tries to give it more depth than she was capable of, which leaves it feeling lacking instead.

This manga might click better with you than with me, it all depends on what you like. I didn't appreciate it that much and I don't feel like it's worth rereading or even reading further chapters, it wasn't good enough for that even if it wasn't a boring read.

Wrote a decently sized review for this manga. It's a dumb manga, very absurd as Mizu Asato is wont to make her manga, but also as she is wont her human characters, when they're no screwing around, are COMPLETELY realistic and believable. The romantic relationships in this manga are top notch, unfolding as they might in reality instead of as they tend to do in fiction. Character development abounds as well. Of course, the manga is also hilarious. It's super perverted, though, so seriously keep that in mind.
