'S' is a known as a bully caretaker, who avenges her bullied clients -- for a price, of course.

However, in reality, 'S' is a nerd named Kang Song Ih, with a twin brother named Kang Ah Eul, whom she loves above anything. Ah Eul attends Chungha High School, a famous and expensive school, but over winter break, he attempts to commit suicide. Song Ih, determined to understand why her brother tried to kill himself, attends Chungha High School, pretending to be Ah Eul -- uncovering the reasons why Ah Eul was driven to suicide, including one mysteriously handsome but "bad" guy named Suh Ga Yoon.

Read as you follow her life while staying in an All-Boy's school and living in a dorm -- with a male roommate, who happens to be a famous singer and someone she as "S" had once nearly beat up.

Watch out! Whoever bothers "S"'s brother, prepare to face her!

A Decent Read

Idol Shopping isn't spectacular, but it's cute and fluffy. The lead girl is pretty spunky which makes it an interesting read. The prerequisite hottie is pretty darn cute (megane complex). I liked him a little more at the beginning, but he still maintains his charm throughout the series (which is pretty hard to do). The prerequisite alternative hottie is also pretty cute (no glasses though--darn). Very endearing. I ended up crying once during the series, and it was because of what this guy did. The main villain is ridiculously evil. The end. I hate her. She is awful. Gr. There's quite a bit of comedy throughout. Lots of cliff hangers. Overall, a cliche'd, over-done, but very cute series. The only major complaints I have for the series are character development and plotting. The characters go through some major, slightly unbelievable changes. Which sucks. It's usually for the better (comic relief or plot twists), but it's a little annoying. The ending is rushed, and the plot is pretty turbulent. But that's to be expected from a rom-com-style manga. And again. No complaints. I didn't exactly pick Idol Shopping off the shelf expecting great literature.

So i've just finished reading the last chapter and i'm like...
WTF is that seriously the ending..
I've read so many Korean manwhas and half of them i've completed because i read the raws but i think the ending for Idol Shopping was sweet but really cliffhanger-like.
The story has a lot of drama in it that sometimes gets me really annoyed and wanting to punch my computer screen, but when you get through it all and finish the manga,, it's got some interesting storyline traits (a butt-kicking girl - like!) and very sweet parts.

This manga isn't one for the unfaithful, you either stick to it until the end or just don't bother.

I really like this manwha! It starts out really promising but the end is a bit too rushed. I also personally have a hard time with love triangles because i always want the guy who is not going to end up with the girl to win, but like i said, won't. but both guys are good! it's a very interesting story, it does have angst tho.

I think for the genre it was a good story with lots of angst, and somethings that makes you mad or laugh, but in summary it was a good development till we reached the last chapter and then bamm: THE END.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Well, it was great that they could finish together and she finally decided to live for herself but, just one punch in each one of the villains and it is all ok? For example the nurse deserved to spend a good time inside a mental institution.
Would be nice if this mangaka could develop the end a little bit more, it gives the idea that she was so tired of this story that wanted to finish as quick as possible. As I said in the subject my rating was 10 but after this rushed ending it fell to a 8.5, same thing with another story I read from the same mangaka. So sad about that.

It just seems that they all start to look and sound the same. Same characteristics but different names. Come on HWANG Mi Ri get some inspiration already and come up with a new line up.

Yet another HMR manga, so similar to others, yet still so funny. I think that until today I've read like 7-8 HMR works. Even though most of them are the same, all her works have the thing that keeps you entertained and captivated so you can read them until the end. I always liked the art coming from korean authors and HMR is just another one of them that really managed to impress me. I like the fact that her mangas present romance stories with a certain doze of reality as well, it seems so different from the typical romances we see in the japanese mangas. In conclusion, even though i had to wait months for this manga to be finished, i think it was worth the read, it was entertaining all the way, with many twists and it kept me captivated until the end.

I recommend this one for the romantic freaks. HMR fans will definitely appreciate this one. Out of all her works i concider this one to be the best up untill now.

heh i don't really read manhwas, as i find them sometimes <shrugs> but really, i really like this manhwa, the girl isn't totally stupid <only sometimes ;P > and the guys~ well heh i guess they have enough sense smile
the story is really great, and interesting, there's enough romance and action and comedy together, that it's not too mushy or nonsensical ^^ i think the plot is is pretty realistic, i mean it can happen rightconfused but like any other drama there are characters <the bad guys mostly> that you just want to get rid off like the parents. i mean, man! i would probably run away or commit suicide to have parents like hers. and don't even get me started with that Witch! as i continue reading, i just hope that the main characters won't fall for that witch's -itchiness.

Rather interesting this female character who beats up bullies suddenly meets her match with these ultra good looking rich guys. Not very realistic but somewhat fun. I started out liking the heroine but we start seeing her get into situations that she is unable to cope with. I find it absurd that this girl is having as much problems as she does. If she was able to make a living dealing with bullies then she should not be having as much difficulty as she does in evading overwhelming situations. It seems that the author downgraded her abilities for the duration of her pretending to be her twin brother. At the very beginning of the story she easily takes care of 3 guys simultaneously then during the story she gets cornered by 3 guys and she thinks she cant take them.

I find that as I read manga and manhwa that I occasionally come across characters that just rub me wrong, usually a villain character. I find myself hoping to see the death and joyous celebration that death should cause, of that character. I guess the villain is a really good villain because I hope to see the villain gutted or maybe fall off a building while the villain's protective family watches.

I can not abide spoiled princesses that try to destroy anything that blocks them from getting something they are obsessed with. The same goes for the abusive prince who destroys hearts and lives just because he can. I find those characters to be so absurdly vile that I would like to gut them myself at times.

I liked this manwa very much (although I tried really hard to turn my brain off and couldn't)

It was a surprise. The korean works I've read before were bumpy in the story and rough (for my tastes) in the art. But this one not. Well, truth to be said, the story is a little extreme but not unbelievable. I fall easily for the characters and I laugh with them enough for keep this manwa in my list of favorites.
Conclusion: If you give it a chance, you could have a nice time reading this. Leave your prejudices aside.

This manga reminds me of soap operas. The story is full of outrageous events, like getting caught naked in an all male school. All the main characters become totally in love, by which I mean obsessed, after one meeting. The author doesn't try to build up relationships, but just drags it along with inexplicable developments. Unless you're someone who can turn off your brain and ignore how forced everything is, you won't enjoy this manga.
