From Mixini Studios:
Back in the day, that place was a house filled with magic - a place where you ended up smiling even if you were crying. Surely, an invisible wizard must have lived there. Or so I thought.
What's a young child to do when her mother leaves her father for another man? Or when her father remarries a woman who brings along a child from a previous marriage? Or when her childhood neighbor friend invites her to live with him?

It was alright. I don't feel like it's as sweet as others. A lot of the drama and roadblocks seem artificial. Also, like the guy below said, she is just a little too childish for her age. Her behavior got on my nerves a little.
Unlike other shoujo mangas that often make me hate the antagonist, I like all characters in this manga, especially the main hero and heroine. The story, art, plot, and ending are all to my liking. It's so heart warming and sweet. Can't wait for the bonus chapters (the scanlation said there maybe bonus chapters) I hope the mangaka will make story about Hiro and Mao's wedding or a slight seeing about their future with children...
great .. but
its sweet...nioce to read...heartwarming... but.. the main girl is REALLY annoying...
she is WAAY too childish
the whole way i hoped she wouldnt get together with the older guy...that she liked....cuz hes so mature... and rather than a love interest...even if he might be attracted to her..it will only be lust... since the degree of of the girl's immaturity and childishness make it like a parent and chld relationship... no seriously
i enjoyed the other stuff tho.. the development... the drama and the traumas which were reconciled
I'm writing this having read up to the second to last chapter (what's posted right now).
This manga is sooo lovely, well-paced and just..ah... Overall Taamo does well at not making too much nonsense drama(as in the type of situations that would only happen in shoujo manga), especially in regards to the main plot of the story.
The emotions and relationships in Taiyou no Ie are portrayed splendidly. Same goes for the family/issues in the story. Good good good read.
(also, freaking adorable art)
Better than 90% of on-going Shoujo mangas.
Popular =/= Good. Like most of on-going shoujos around that are popular and sells a lot doesn't mean they are THAT good. Maybe some but most probably have gone downhill. While Taiyou no Ie is quite popular and have average sells, it's a very good manga. Which means it's not about the sells/rank but the quality, although that's still arguable.
From the development of the characters to the events that follows. Characters act as if they were real human beings depicted in a fiction work. Others are exaggerated but I get it, it's to make it lively.
qwaszx summarize my inner thoughts about Taiyou no Ie.
Just the need for things to wrapped up on its own pace and we're done since everything is building up already. It'll be a memorable manga.
finally a manga that has great pacing. Love triangles only last up to 2 volumes instead of consuming the whole breadth of the manga. Characters waver in their decision but only for a reasonable amount of time. My kind of shoujo.
Man, I just got the very fresh it's 1st volume here. I like the story so far. It's a lil' bit sad, but I hope the girl finally gets her own happines. Whew, I have to wait another 10 volumes here :3

I really love this manga, first I was little skeptical but soon after few pages I just couldn't stop reading it! I think the characters are well developed and the relationships work really well. The main couple was pretty unexpected for me (I mean while I read the first chapters I assumed that the younger brother would be the interest) but soon it really started working. I hope this one continues long!
simple drawing but good story
really, this shoujo manga give good impression when i saw the char
and there the story, slow pace, really slow, predictable but it's fun
not really fans of shoujo but, this one you must give it a try...
Adorable... so cute omg
While this would not be my definition of a masterpiece, it is a really entertaining read that leaves me wanting more. MORRREEE!!!
This manga is certainly not super original, but it has a freshness in it that somehow keeps me reading. The series has the same underlying plot as many: school girl with broken family, guy that comes to rescue, another guy who is interested in the girl.... etc.
But what makes this series somewhat different is the way that the author lets the characters grow. They all MATURE in some way, and you can see things progressively getting better for everyone, rather than the random BOOM and happily ever after stuff.
Anyhow, I really respect the progression of the manga and how the characters don't dive into love but don't pointlessly hold back either.
The guy in question, Hiro, is really lovable. And, for once, I root for the main guy more than the love triangle dude. He is mature and "quick" to realize things (such as the girl's feeling for him), and knows to do the right stuff at the right time. *smirk* Plus, he's not one of those overly jealous boyfriends. (but his rare jealous face is hot too ha ha)
The girl is also adorably tsundere (even though I usually don't like this kind of character; I prefer Kuderes). You can really tell that she tries her best to mend any broken relationships, and even though she is not my favorite kind of female character, the other characters maturity and wonderfulness really make up for any flaws she has.
Overall, I just get this fluffy feeling from reading this, and not in a bad way.
