Description

The Story of Yoshioka Seiji's (from Yachin Hanbun no Ibasho desu) new love with a guest appearance from Yukito.

Oosawa had known Yoshioka for a long time... As his customer, Yoshioka came in and out of the shop with different boyfriends all the time. He thought he knew fully well what kind of man Yoshioka was. But when tragedy hit Chizu, his one and only daughter... and his capability as a single father was questioned... Yoshioka came out of nowhere and offered help. Slowly but surely, Oosawa learned that the man he despised was very different than what he appeared to be!

He is one of the best character written in yaoi world
Everything about him is interesting, his character is written so good with so much depth, in the end u can understand him so much better and want to read more and more of him and his thoughts.
So happy author made an extra chapter focus on his past, so good.
I just wanted his partner was more affectionate, empathy and sensitive, thank God chizu is there to fill the boring feeling when her dad is around lol

I'm glad there was a development in Yoshioka's character, I truly hated him in the previous series, but here, such a change, and now they have with Oosawa and Chizu a cute little family, awesome!! ❤️

Aaaah! The romance is JUST my cup of tea. Not overly exaggerated, yet still romantic. No dubious consent, and there is no selfish love, where yiu guilt-trip the other person to sleep with you. It is such a genuine love! And it is sooooo sweet!!! Read it!!,

I searched Comedy + Yaoi and this popped up on top, and I am so happy. This is my second favorite manga; it deserves that high rating.

Comedy? Well obviously, check.
Fluff? Double check.
Chizu? Chizu? Chizu is so precious, I s2fg.

The thing about this manga that I loved was that its balance was... just so right. It had a dose of drama, but at the same time, it generally kept to a lighthearted mood while neatly building character development.

Of course, I'll admit that sometimes, the plot seems somewhat contrived...

(Slight spoilers)

I agree that it was a bit frustrating that the characters all had to go through colds in order to open up to one another. I wish the author had been a little more creative on that front.

However, I don't think the colds were enough to detract from the manga. First, it's somewhat understandable that the characters get colds; one person came down with it, and spread it throughout the household. I've had that happen in my family before... it really was not a pleasant experience. The only difference was that we simultaneously got colds (in that it spread to my parents before I fully recovered), whereas in this manga, each person "rotated" it, lmao.

Secondly, I prefer the cold as a story vehicle over other alternatives, such as unnecessary jealousy or miscommunication. Of course, this story had a bit of both, but they weren't crucial (i.e. directly related) to the plot. And the thing is, this manga could have easily taken that route; for instance, the ex-boyfriend that came back could have been more persistent. And that would have ruined the manga...

So although this manga has a noticeable flaw, I'm still willing to overlook it and give it a 10.

With that, let me go reread it.

A story that seems simple but actually is very touching with small pockets of depth with the way the family connects and develops. There's character growth, chemistry and just adorable moments as the story progresses.

Sometimes, I get tired of love at first sight or love that develops as soon as one of them expresses interests. This manga is an example of some cliches done right. For instance, the seme is a player. Well, he isn't a jerk and he actually has a backstory that helps give his character some depth. Another instance, a lot of characters catch a fever/cold, but it forces the plot along. Or another instance, an insecure uke in need of someone to depend on. Well, the uke is definitely not a weak "heroine." Another thumbs up is the fact that the straight uke didn't jump into a homosexual relationship right away.

The relationship is between two ADULT MEN, and this really is the charm of the story (there's no natural airhead baby to look after). The tone of the manga was sweet, but not overly sugary or fluffy. The angst was just right with no unnecessary drama.

Absolutely loved the character development in this manga, and the different ways you would come to perceive Yoshioka-san if you had encountered him in Yachin Hanbun no Ibasho desu.

I love how we get to understand him and the reason for his behaviour, along with how completely devoted he becomes.

Definitely one that sticks in my mind- I've read God knows how much yaoi, but this one I can still remember really well. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but the emotions just seem so honest in this one. It's not smutty or sex-based, but the relationship between Oosawa and Yoshioka is genuine and sweet, and I just love them and Chizu so much! I recommend it 😀

Little Chizu was so absolutely cute, and smart too. Even though she didn't play much of a part in the first half of the story (not directly, that is) I loved those side moments she had whenever Yoshioka and Oosawa were a little too close, so to speak. Let's face it. A kid who just blindly and all excitedly accepts that his father his being wooed by another male is not a very insightful kid, ahah. Society is not quiet there yet. The intrigued and yet innocent way she would react to such words like "love" or "kiss" was really well done, I think. And overall she was just so sweet, what's there not to like? My favourite character, for sure :3

I think this is one of those rare stories where the sex scenes don't make the least difference. I was already into their relationship way before sex was even close to being involved. However, to be honest I found the chosen plot devise a little repetitive and not that new either:

The girl gets a cold, then the father gets a cold, then the host gets the cold... seriously? Ahah

Still, I cared about these characters enough to keep on reading. Well, Oosawa annoyed me a bit but most ukes out there do so I leave this one pass... I really liked Yoshi though. And his relationship with Chizu was so cute, loved all of it 🙂

I'll give this one a 7.5. Very nice read.
