Meh, the story was aight. I did enjoy the main protagonists and how their love bloomed but i could have done without the fake incest. I didnt add much to the story besides making me feel gross. I didnt understand how the main character could confuse brotherly love to romantic love. there should be a distiction and more so if the love interest looks so much litte her brother.
The author tries to tackle heavy topics but they are so wishy-washy it just seems half assed.

Plot is interesting I guess, but so far the MC doesn't have much of a personality. She's a little passive as well in her actions. Everything I've seen her do so far is a reaction to the male lead (outside of part of the 1st chapter). She has some combat ability tho, so that's something I guess.
Didn't really like Male lead either. Male lead is pretty typical character in historical/fantasy shoujo. You know, the king character who seems mean to the protagonist at first but a few chapters in, she starts to admire him...for some reason. Oh and protagonist also sees a sadness in him, adding to the admiration/crush. This character type + passive female mc is insufferable. Especially when (outside of looking like her brother) there's barely any reason for her to suddenly admire or care about him.

I'm really mesmerized by Sumomo Momo's works, and this is no exception!

I've read up to chapter 26 so far, and it's still going well. The art, the characters and plot really drew me in. If you're a fan of old eras and a palace setting, you should give this a try. The heroine in this story is really likeable too, as she's not the meek type and doesn't whine/cry all over the place like many other shoujo titles. Looking forward to more!

I started reading this manga recently and it really is good! Plus it is created by the same author of Sengoku Danshi Hana no Ran which is also a really great series. This one doesn't have many releases yet but it is getting good.
