Description

The story revolves around Tsukune Aono, a boy who accidentally gets enrolled in a school inhabited by monsters and demons. He quickly befriends Moka Akashiya, a vampire who soon develops an obsession with his blood, and later meets other girls who soon take a romantic liking to him.

Nah the male lead isn't "weak" in what you thinking... It's cause of many reason why he is consider weak ... well he does get a boost so don't worry it not a wimp getting all the chick. Oh and so far it quite compelling in the witch arc... i kinda feel so about "our" race hehehhe keep it up though i found it too slow ..(they doing season 2 when 1 isn't done FIND THAT REALLY _TUPID@!

Main character could use some fighting spirit of his own, and the group needs more male friends. However, this is just nitpicking, as the art is good and the plot is pretty interesting.

hmm. . This manga has a bit of issues. . Maybe Because It doesn't take itself too seriously in a sense that the world it takes place in feels like it has little substance. . The monster academy isn't explained well. . monster students try too kill each other for some reason, isn't the purpose of going to school is to make friends and get along with each other?. . The setting is just wrong in this manga in my opinion. . If your going to make a fantasy manga, the "world building " or "Creation of the setting" is very important. . if its created half halfheartedly you get this. . if you plan it we.. you get something like. . magical world in negima, the mystical tower in the tower of god. . or Amerstris the setting of fullmetal alchemist. . Character development is ok. . Some relationships with the girls is a bit shallow though. . It's a fighting manga there are a lot of fights. some are cool others are so-so. . My verdict is. . . . . . . . Its a good read, no alcohol required. .

note: I have only read up to Ch 5, so the review stems from only those chapters, and hence I have not bothered with a numerical rating, since I think it'd be unfair to (somewhat) arbitrarily assign a number rating to something I'm not completely familiar with.

My interest in this series came from two things: 1. the series is complete, and 2. I'd just finished reading 'Dance in the Vampire Bund' (which I highly recommend) and thought vampires were totally cool.

As others have stated, there's not a whole lot to like aside from the artwork. The mangaka vilifies all males aside from the moronic main character (typical of most titles in the harem genre). This guy in particular has 0 redeeming qualities, even less so than Keichi from 'Ah! My Goddess' and way less than Minato from 'Sekirei'. There's a fair amount of fanservice, but far less than you'd find in the aforementioned Sekirei. Most of the characters are cute, but a bit young, so the fanservice does nothing for me in particular. The only character I seem to like is the adorable young witch. Cute little kids are my weak point (since I have one of my own ^_^).

Simply put, this work does not stand out in any of the genres it is associate with. If you're looking for lulz, a plot, compelling characters, and fanservice, I'd recommend you look elsewhere. Honestly, I don't plan on finishing this series. You're better off looking to another series, but if you MUST read one that's complete, I s'pose you could have a gander at this one.

This manga is your standard mindless Shounen, probably aimed at high school students. It's slightly different from others in that the main character, Tsukune, is weak but his girlfriend, Moka, is super strong. I started skipping chapters like crazy because it was just an endless parade of the Tsukune pulling off Moka's rosary to solve every conflict and grow his harem by being a "nice guy". The premise is silly as well. Why bother creating a school to teach monsters to cooperate if students and teachers uses their powers like there's no tomorrow.

Halfway through it gets slightly interesting when Tsukune becomes spoiler alert a ghoul, but the whole situation gets resolved to easily by introducing a new character who can seal his power. And instead of letting Moka fight, the manga reverts back to the standard formula of having the main character fight.

The main appeal of this manga is the ecchi humor, but it gets repeated throughout the series and becomes old very fast. Can't that succubus do anything else besides pressing her boobs in Tsukune's face? None of the fights are interesting because there's just no tension. You know that Tsukune and his harem can't die, so it's just everyone bleeding and then Tsukune or Moka beating up the bad guy.

Meh, are like all series in Monthly Jump the same? Just as repetitive as Kurohime, and almost the same chapter set-ups. Moka and Tsukune run into trouble with a new student, Tsukune takes off her rosary, Moka transforms, she beats the student, happy end. Wtf...
I like it slightly better than Kurohime; though I have to say I'm not surprised Monthly Jump was cancelled. The only somewhat decent manga in that was Claymore.
