The manga just drags on and on... 9 volumes for what could be solved in maybe 3, tops. It's not like Finder, where you actually want to read more and more. Instead you have a nasty loan shark (who acts like a kumicho) and a girl-with-a-penis uke, with the obligatory right hand man crushing over his boss's lover.

The anime is much better, though I don't think there's a single frame where Ayase isn't balling his eyes out. His voice is also girly, heck if he didn't use "ore" you'd think he was a girl (he might as well be one, since you never see his parts).

So....This was my very first manga, anime, and yaoi! Can you believe it, but I loved it so much!!! I can't wait for more and I recommend it to everyone Everyone EVERYONE!!! The best!

this manga has alot of hype. but it is just horrible. there way to much rape. the uke looks like a ten year old girl. the story drags on and it makes you feel like a pedophile just for reading. That being said the side story Henshin Dekinai is very much worth reading. it has nothing to do with these loathsome seme and uke. but rather being o.k with your self and your sexuality.

at first i thought it will be shallow...
but it's not what it seem if you try to read from first volume to latest...
/so many emotions/

plus the main uke is not easily swept to change his gender preference
just because of "experiencing it" or getting confession.

ughhh i want more. just read it people. <3

For many people who read this manga and talk crap about it then that means they didn't get the plot or how the characters was built that way. it will take forever to explain, anyway, to me it was perfect...

A Classic, in the bad way

If you like cliched seme/uke dynamics, cold but secretly-in-love "semes" who coerce and torment and abuse their way to the rape-is-love ending, you will probably enjoy this manga.

There isn't really anything substantial beyond that. A young, very effeminate boy is forced to prostitute himself to a jerk whom he fears and dislikes being forced to have sex with in order to repay family debts he's inherited, and the result is something akin to sexual slavery and more Stockholm syndrome romance.

To me, this sort of thing is not cute, not sexy, and ultimately not very enjoyable. In fact, it's just kind of deplorable.

There's nothing wrong with enjoying this sort of thing, but I'd really recommend not wasting your time on it unless it's you enjoy this kind of dynamic and story a lot. Otherwise, perhaps like me, you'll just find yourself wondering how on earth this managed to run eight volumes long.

My first yaoi manga...

This was my first yaoi manga as well as first yaoi anime. I really loved it. I am very surprised to find out that it is still ongoing though. I thought it finished and I was so satisfied. I am just very thankful that the last chapter I read wasn't a cliffhanger (or at least, not exactly one). Honestly, I don't mind cliches in yaoi mangas/animes. I do however mind guys with long hair. I don't like long hair in guys even in real life.

I love this manga and the character too, actually I like those kind of stories when the is seme is strong rich popular and have the power to do anything he wants and fall deeply in love with the uke who is a simple person with no specialty, and of course I like ayase a lot he is unique character I didn't see in any other manga, I hope to be able to continue reading this outstanding manga and i hope to see more love scene lol ^_^

i really dont understand you people. sigh. a lot of you put out your points about the series and yes they are some good points but it leaves me thinking a lot of you are just idiots.sigh. for one im always open to new stories and ideas after all i hate this world severly. but the fact is when you take things that people dont like about reality and place them into a story i believe that is a great thing.

this series was a really good one. the side characters were interesting for the most part. i really liked the comedy that was put into this story and it was interesting.

yes the main character is a shemale and i usually hate that type of character and actually i really wanted to bunch the sob quiet a few times. Especially when hes so dense and clueless that he doesnt realize that there is a better person for him right next to him. but hes to stuck on the fact that kanou does him and having stock home sydrome to realize it.

kanou is a very misunderstood a**hole who had a very bad influence from day one in his father so of course hes going to be an idiot and follow that bad example in dealing with the person he loves. But unlike apart popular belief there is growth in his actions in treating ayase. he just has to get by his anger and jealous issues.

in all i liked this series mainly not for the main characters, since it looks like there will be no further development there because of ayase, but for the side characters, the jokes, and certain interactions between character. in the end the only thing i want is for ayase to realize a certain someone near him is better then kanou.

finally even if you hated this one you should really try there second try with the spin-off with the car repair deliquent guy and the okama character. so far in that one no rape and it looks like its going to have a good plot so you should try that one.

Ugh, ugh. This manga was horrible. And in my opinion (and what most people have already said) the characters are the worst. Ayase is such a coward and weak and girly. Honestly if I wanted to read hetero-smut I would >.> but every time I read past one of his pathetic attempts to be strong I can't help but bang my head on the desk. True, he has been through a lot but the mangaka just exaggerated his "angelic-ness" so much (especially through the clothing) that I feel sick. Spared this from a 1 because I actually used to like it loooooong ago when I first started reading yaoi.
