Description

Reana lives peacefully in a small town deep in the province of the Earthside Kingdom. She has a loving father, an interesting job and the childlike trust in the people around her... But everything changes after she encounters a dying dragon. He is the last one of his kind and possesses the power which can shake the world - what a great titbit for others! And so Reana is thrown into turmoil, into the desperate search for answers - while the hunt after her begins.

Great webtoon

Both the story and the art are ideal for fantasy/adventure enthusiasts. One of the best webtoons out there at the moment, if you ask me.

Also, ignore the the silly critiques below regarding the protaganist's personality. Reana is a great character that slowly develops. It is actually very refreshing to see a kind and gentle female lead in a story, with the abundance of loud-mouth tsunderes that are painfully overused in manhwa and mangas now-a-days.

I also like the fact that the male lead, Kairak, is very unique. Definitely not your average main character, which makes the interaction between him and Reana all the more fascinating.

Definitely worth the read!

I wonder why the rating on managupdates is so low. I give it 10/10! The art is gorgeous, though it changes over the webcomic, the plot is very interesting, the characters are brilliant... Also, I like how the author created an original fantasy world different from anything I've seen before - starting from the races living in it and ending with the details of how this or that works. Guess there's A LOT OF WORK hidden under the core. Definitely worth reading!

Awesome Art and Great Story

I love this manga but nobody is actually working on it right now both places that were translating occasionally don't even have it available anymore. I am looking at the art on naver and staying up to date with it but I hope I get to read it someday again. The story is sweet. The romance is really light and although that is not the type of romance I usually like I do with this one. The Art Is amazing one of the best manhwa art wise that i've ever seen. I think most people would really like it. I've only gotten to read 10 chapters in English however, just by the pictures alone I can tell that the story is developing really good.

Yeah, I like it, but I really dislike Reana, because she's too kind, in the stupid way. She just doesn't know what is more important, and sometimes I really feel bad for Kairak ;(
Apart from that, I love this webtoon and I'm willing to give a 10.

This is one of my favorite WEBTOONs it has everything I love in a story!! However, there's slow updates which is kind of disappointing even though it seems to already be complete.

From what I can tell, we are still in the prologue to the story, the foreshadowing, the references to as though the main character is reminiscing, I imagine there's a drastic tone shift in the story coming up.

Story? Plot? Romance?!

FL suffers from incurable toxic selflessness. Her chronic hero syndrome causes "Male Lead" to become a corrupt dragon since she is to busy desperately saving everybody else but him, with zero regards to her mental & emotional well-being and personal safety. This has tragic consequences to her and ML both and she only realizes when it's too late. 11th hour character growth that only gets retconned at 5 minutes to midnight.

"Male Lead" is supposed to be an expressionless and emotionless dragon, but he is so non-existant in the story as an individual; for the second half of the story, he is even completely off screen while "2nd Male Lead" has far better presence/character growth. If you only read the second half and didn't know what happened in the first, you'd think the human prince, who was an antagonist in the first half, is the hero of the story on a road to redemption while the dragon is a background Sauron figure/plot device they only talk about and show in one second scene.

All in all. FL started as selfless fool who MUST save everybody, only to suffer the tragic consequences of her own kind, reckless choices. ML was more of a plot device than an actual character, the smallest of side characters had more character/growth/presence than him. Male Lead is in the story to be a doom device and nothing else. The most interesting was "2nd ML" who as a child suffered tragic losses, was groomed by false friends and was actually a chess piece; he made realistic, mature choices, realized what he did wrong and suffered the real consequences of his own actions without complaint like a true stoic. FL hurls abuse at him with her words while he desperately ties to keep her alive in the second half of the story in order to bring her to "Male Lead" who has gone mad of-screen and is destroying the world. Only when it's too late does she realize where she went wrong and tells him that, if she was ever a dragon herself, she would choose him as her fated partner. In the last moments before FL has to reset the timeline in order to undo the apocalypse brought about by ML , who was made insane by FL's desperation to save everybody, 2nd ML-the only character who had any growth, says "she made her choice to be with the dragon and I want her to be happy forever". Then, FL "fixes" ML with her love, they reset the timeline and in the epilogue, FL and ML are once again selfless and emotionless, all their character progression gone, while 2nd ML is a good king who does everything for his people's benefit, but never marries because his soul remembers the dream of previous timeline where he fell in love with FL on his road to redemption.

Came for inhuman male lead and human female lead romance, was disappointed by lack of progress of their "romance". Stayed for the tragic character of human prince turned fine king.

That is one hell of a bad female lead! I mean, villains don't do as much damage as she does.
She is constantly whiny, ignores the reality around her, and is a constant source of trouble. She has one job. ONE! Lie low for a year and let the dragon leave. But no, sir! In ine year, she travels across the globe exposing the dragon to potentially all sorts of bad people and lo and behold! The dragon's gone bat shit crazy!
Dumb b*****!
A rock would have been more useful and reliable than her!

Art: 3/10 The art is truly below-average... It just dampens the magical atmosphere the author is trying to create. The art doesn't live up to the author's vision.... A huge pity

Story: 5/10 It's predictable. The story of a dragon imprinting on a pure-hearted girl means lots of enemies and near-death situations for both. But unfortunately, the writing doesn't fully capture the beauty/tragic nature of an immortal pure abstract being gaining sense of humanity. That slow budding and eventual devastation is depicted very well so far...

Characters: 1/10 The dragon is like a wall. He rarely has any valuable screen time. The girl MC is a dumb, naive kid that doesn't listen to her advisors. She claims to want to protect the dragon, yet keeps putting everyone in danger. The entire cast is just frustrating to read about....

Translation: 4/10 It's annoying to read a story with so many misspellings and misused words.

It's such a pity that this story has so many shortcomings since I really do like the premise. Unfortunately, with settings as grand as this one it's exponentially harder to live up to the readers' expectations. :/
