In a vast world, Emma, a girl with something lurking inside her, meets the magician Shion!!! What is the "Magico" ritual that will bind them together?! Even if they risk their lives to tread a path of thorns...!!
8 Volumes (Complete)

I love almost everything about this manga! The plot, the art and the characters!
Especially the characters! i like how in the very first chapter they get married!
What i don't like is Emma. I mean, she blushes so much that i thought she had no brain :S And during fights, she sits and watch! i hate to say this, but she was almost useless -.-''
Anyway, the plot is original and simple and there's not too much drama...
It's also very funny, especially with Shion (Kyaaa~~)
And i simply LOVE the art! A good manga must have a good art, right? 😉
This really deserves a 10/10!! just one thing made me angry while reading this: Emma.
Like other people said, this is a cute series. however, Magico might be too shounen-ish for some people. Or if you're the people who fuss about the fact that "shounen is not a genre" or whatever, you might prefer "too idealistic".
Also, I dunno if I just read too many slow-paced manga (no, I don't only mean Bleach), but I feel the pacing in Magico might be a little too rushed. Well, I guess thanks to that Magico are able to avoid Dragonball-esque/Bleach-esque powerup syndrome thus far.
Anyway, I recommend this for those who like cute shounen romance series, not for those who loathe idealistic shounen series
Manga must read for people like romance, cute and many sad past.
It is about girl, boy in 16 year old . I mistaked they are only 10 year old at first glace.
Almost characters have a sad past , most is main character ?
Cute manga, the kind that makes you smile every other panel. I love the premise that the guy is totally head over heels in love for a sincere girl who isn't thought of as extremely beautiful and popular for the usual shoujo reasons and that the guy is pretty quirky himself. He isn't some perv taking advantage of some ditzy girl.
I love romances where the heroine is pretty ignorant of how deeply the hero feels for her. I don't care if she's a Mary Sue character because she is lovable that way and isn't chasing after some cold distant "cool" guy. The love is pretty innocent but doesn't have the melodrama commonly found in shoujo manga. It's why I love romances in shounen most of the time where there isn't heavy ecchi and harem tropes tied in.
I like ecchi when it's used more for the girl's advantage and not the guy's. This is enjoyable and light yet showing depth when looked for by the reader.
Shion is just so adorable. The art is adorable in itself but the characters are just flat out lovable. There are so many 'kyaha!' moments despite this being shounen and the fight scenes are just as big and loud as any. Freaking awesome in some stages and interesting all throughout.
I would have to say, one of the best manga on jump ever 😀 This focuses on both action, and balances it with romance, which is awsome! and the humour is the best out of all the manga so far on jump, since it's not completly focused of fighting, and the art is amazing. Also, there is a lot of potential coming from magico, unlike the bigger manga, especially bleach, where the villian and plot is forced and made up on the spot. The only problem is that this is published in jump, which is more focused on shouen stuff, so shoujo manga (even if it's a little) might not be too welcomed, but i think it's amazing XD hope it will go on, fight on! 😀
I love this manga so much! I've been reading it since the first 5 chapters came out.. This manga is really cute, I love the art (( cuz im into chibi like things for some reason o3o' )) the story is actually really interesting. But the thing I hate the most, is how it seems like it's going to end.. I want it to kinda be like Bleach and how it goes on for a long time (( but not as long cuz tht'll b a total waste, but for like a couple of years or so )) some people say its more aimed at girls or it seems girly.. I don't think that at all, cuz all of the scenes with Emma being like well idk mostly naked xD and she has huge boobs (( how is tht not shounen xDDD )) and all the fighting and what not, its pretty freakin shounen to meh.. i hope it goes on for a long long time ;D
Like a lot of other people said, this is a light, charming, somewhat romantic series, and I'm surprised it's a shounen. I'm not exactly sure how long it'll last, though, with it's cute chibi art and catering to a more female demographic.
I wouldn't go into it looking for a long-running, on-going shounen story, like Bleach or what-have-you. Magico is a light and kind of airy thing that's like a feel-good read at the end of a long day. It's a little episodic, but so far I haven't really minded, because they do tend to feel like they're advancing something at the same time.
I could criticize the art a little. I don't really appreciate chibi at the best of times, and having main characters that looked a little more their age would be nice. I almost feel kind of dirty during Emma's semi-nude scenes, and I'm a girl to begin with.
Take it for a little shoujo/shounen crossover fun while it lasts. It's a cute, sweet series and I kind of hope it'll last a while longer.
I loooove this manga ;D.. i've been reading it since it came out, and im still hooked 2 it ^^ every chapter has made me laugh there's not one yet tht hasnt. But right now im kinda wavering to another manga cause i have a feeling tht Magico is going 2 end soon and i dont want it to end for a long long time T^T.. but it would b friggin awesome if it became a anime, it would probably b the best anime ever, i hope it dosent end anytime soon because im obviously in love with it xD but i rly do hope they make a anime for it even if they dont this manga will b my top favorite!~
what can i say its perfect this manga got all of the genre's i like comedey romance action end not to much of evrything but its one of those manga that should not be dragged for to long just 5 or six volumes.
A lot of people say that this series is pretty cliche, but I tend to disagree. It's actually pretty a-typical for a shounen series. Aside from the overall goal of "Save his wife", there is nothing else going on to the plot. So far there have been no major rivals introduced, most of the bad guys are taken care of in 2-3 chapters, and there doesn't appear to be an evil organization out to get him and destroy the world. The whole thing feels episodic without actually being slice of life.
The art is pretty clean and it's also nice to look at. The artist seems to be a little toner heavy, but that's not a problem for me as the liberal use of thick lines and darker colors for contrast add a nice feel to the series without making things messy.
As far as the characters go, even though they appear to be pretty shallow at first, some of the information coming out in regards to them as the series progresses actually adds some nice layers to them. That statement doesn't hold true to all of the characters though, some of them are in fact very shallow, but they serve the purpose of making sure the story moves forward in interesting ways, so I can forgive it.
All in all, I'd suggest giving the series a try, but I wouldn't read go into this thinking it's going to be a 40-50 volume epic. Unfortunately, as entertaining as this series is and as much potential as it has, it has the feel of a series that will probably be killed as it has some parallels to a few other series I've liked that Japan has nuked.
