8 Volumes (Complete)

Obviously, I'm not really a fan of shounen. But this one made it to my reading list. I first came to this when I was searching for a category, and so after seeing this title pop up several gazillion times, I decided to read it. And sure is wonderful.
I love their adventures and the growth of their bond in the process. Little by little, we're seeing their character and it makes you want to find out more. Shion's pure love (LOL, I love him) and Emma's naivety is a great combination.
10/10
Note: Damn the category list. O_O
this manga is good.... that's all!! the characters are cute... the plot is good as well... and the emotional development is well done by the mangaka... I don't know why people don't like this manga but I want this manga to keep continuing until the end
This manga is cute and charming. Not many shounen manga go along the lines of "true love conquers all" anymore. It's nice to read something that takes you back to the old days of hopes and dreams. Good story too, definitely worth the read.
i'm quite surprised why people don't like this after reading only one chapter. i mean, the chapters themselves are pretty short but as the manga develops more, there's more stuff happening.
i was a bit surprised that Emma was 16 years old since she looks so much younger, along with Shion but i just love these two characters.
this is like a shounen/shoujo kind of manga since the romance shows quite a bit. it's a fun read though and i can't wait for the future releases 🙂
This practically THE BEST wsj release I've read! What other reasons are there but the interesting art, plot, character, EVERYTHING. Highly recommended!!!!! It's just the beginning of a new series, yet I just can't help but wonder what else is left in store for us.
It was nice to see something with a real "romantic" theme come out of WSJ for once. I mean, I don't plan to give up any of my action for this manga, but it has its charm. Although I don't think the plot line is all that original, there are supposed to be only 6 plots in the world, and it's what you do with them that matters. Honestly, Emma is cute and unaware in a lot of ways that she's a girl. Shion is introverted and shy, unless in battle, and it's just cute to see the main character of a Jump comic act self-effacing, yet confident. Most Jump character either start out super wimps who find themselves in the process of getting stronger, or are strong and just get stronger as battle ensues. The art is a bit shoujo-ish, but so is Katekyo Hitman Reborn. It's not super hardcore shonen (it doesn't seem), but it deserves a chance to see what it'll become, because, from the looks of it, it'll end up being a battle manga. I mean, it IS a WSJ title. It might surprise us. But, mostly, I have to say... it's cute. It's just charming to a shoujo fan like myself. I am enjoying it for what it is, and I'm sure it'll change into something more WSJ soon enough.
I admit: I only read the first chapter. But honestly, I got bored by it. Dropped it afterwards.
The characters are waaaay to chibi-like, I can't even take them seriously.... They should be about 16 years old, both, right? They seem like ten.... and the guy does look like a freaking drug addict - thought it was just exaggerated, but no.... unfortunately not. He even ate those weird mushrooms....
So. Let's take a shortcut and go to the thing I was looking forward to: The unique feeling that was supposed to be there.
Sorry. I can't feel that, I can only see the differences from the usual shounen mangas. But besides a marriage, some nose bleed and a hero who shows his love openly there's no real difference from the usual stuff. So no rating from me. This manga is just some disappointment.
I've only read 6 chapters so far but I'm already looking forward to the next! The opening chapter was great!
It's funny how even though the couple are already married and have kissed. I'm still looking forward to further development in their relationship.
I can't help but laugh on how the girl and the boy's role has been -somewhat- switched with Shion doing plenty of blushing -- which I find absolutely adorable! And I like how Emma isn't a squeamish heroine either.
Her reaction to the Marouni's abuse of the dog girl gives me high hopes for the future. She's not a push over!
Hopefully, I won't be dissapointed following this series. Recommended! 😀
Well, I lost interest on the first chapter ==... Even in a "Magical World" would you believe it immediately if someone told you you had a curse that only occurs once every 500 years? It's like, "Male: You are a super special person. Female: OMYGOSHNOWAY!" =="... Other than that, I liked the art, pretty girly, and yeah it's a pretty cliche shounen story.
At first i wasn't really intrigued by the art but the main character stray away from other typical heroes. He's calm, collected, shy, modest, and introverted. While typical, in my opinion, is brash, bold, proud, and extroverted. Shion's relationship with Emma is similar to that of Syaoran and Sakura from Tsubasa Chronicles. The Story is sort of cliche'd (Boy rescuing girl from a cursed fate or power) and the progression isn't very clever, Magico makes it up through its unique randomness. I hope it continues on.
