I didn't read the tags when i chose to read this webtoon... I was in for a huge shock somewhere around the latter half of the manwha LOL
anyhow, it's a brilliantly written series that I somehow always end up pondering about while walking home...
I've always lived the artstyle or webcomics do naturally I loved this art. The story was unpredictable with plot twists everywhere. It was very gripping, I couldn't put it down. I lived the ending. It somehow seemed very bitter sweet but appropriate.
So, I'am a big fan of romance, and in that "romance" part it was nearly perfect, with some major twists and heart moving scenes.
The only reason I give it 9 (9.5 actually) is because for me everything was very predictable, i was like "so now it'll turn out that he is....", "next thing he\she is going to do is..." and "so the stalker\killer is...".
And i hate when author is like "I'll show you this last art, and you can think about what happens next on your own" even though it's pretty obvious why main protagonist is like that.
So if you decided to read this, you won't regret, have fun.^^
... is the least what you'll get from this.
I promise, when you have finished this, you nearly suffocated from laughing, nearly drowned in your tears, have serious issues getting your mouth back to normal from grinning, just evaded a few heart attacks due to intense pain piercing your heart, and failed to get back your thoughts from an area of nothingness for some time.
Melo Holic? Damn right!
Melo Holic makes you go webcomic-holic: 10/10
I was mindf*cked by this webtoon.. I thought it would be a nice romantic, cute relationship that grows over time.. but man.. I was so wrong.. the twist in this webtoon was like O____O omfg, idk that will happen.. it just happened so fast that it blew my mind.. it was like "all this lovely dovey moments" and then BAMMMM "explosion".
Watch out: If you read the spoilers, you can forget the whole manga. This series is so amazing because most people can't predict what's about to come, and reading spoilers takes away the "OH SHI-" feeling!
Well. Because I couldn't predict it and because I thought it would be just a normal lovey-dovey series, I needed two tries. But then, by the time he found the stalker I was already hooked. I read until chapter 60 around and started looking forward to the next releases <3
Definetly recommended! Although the end is a bit odd 😉
The twist was freaking awesome in my opinion! I did not see it coming at all.
His own girlfriend is the murderer.
Do you know how unpredictable that was? This is most definately not the typical "man who doesn't believe in love finds it" stories.
Plus with this mangas introduction we can already predict the ending wont be all happy.
Why was everyone expecting this to be lovey dovey stuffs? This is Team Get-Name we're talking about 😉
I can't wait to read more! 🙂
It’s about a man whose never experienced love because of his inherent power. As strange as it seems, he does have a supernatural power. One day, he is finally able to experience the whole romantic evolution of love through attraction, confession, rejection, hope, and etc. However, once he finally dates the woman he loves, he ends up getting thrown into the middle of the woman’s extra baggage—i.e. her grief over her dead boyfriend, a stalker, her family, and etc.
At first, the main character is heart wrenching pitiful towards the concept of love, but he later gets really manly when he tries to protect the woman he loves. I can also sympathize with why he is the way he is because of his powers. It’s hard building any type of relationship, whether it is friend or lover w/ his type of powers.
The scanlation hasn’t caught up to the raws yet, so I took a peek at the rest of them since chapter 22 ends on a suspenseful cliff hanger. It’s a pretty series, and it’s interesting reading a romance from the male’s POV. I also enjoyed the artwork as well.
So far (at chapter 4) I'm enjoying reading this manhwa, so much that I wanted to leave a comment, which I didn't do in a long time. The main character is interesting, it's somewhat like he's detached of the world, and because the manhwa is full-colored it's kind of fresh. The story seems slow-paced sometimes and others its kinda hurried. Well you should definitely give it a try because it's not a very stereotyped story in my opinion.
So cutting it short, if you want to read this webtoon and are not someone with a genius perception for speculation who can deduce the story by the categories/tags and genres mention in this series page... than you are going to feel just like what I wrote in this comment title, but of course in a good way.
I don't want spoil, so I'll just say that this webtoon could be a masterpiece depending on who reads it, it's such an unpredictable roller-coaster, something you really wouldn't expect from the description(yeah it's small but when you read you'll understand what I mean).
If you are interested in dropping your jaw when you finish reading something, than Melo Holic is really fit for you.
Only downsize is the art, I never understand how stories like this don't have mangakas drawing manga or manhwa for them...
Dismiss the comments below saying the story was predictable, they either like to be nonconformists or didn't really get what fate is.
