Girly Ukes, but Good Stories.

I agree, all of the ukes look like girls. I like shoujo and yaoi equally, though... so that didn't bother me. The last story was really cute and I liked the plots in all of them. Overall, I liked this manga. But yaoi lovers who like their boys to look like boys should avoid this one like the plague.

Unique and Beautiful

The art is intricate: It reminds me of the beautiful, flowing, detailed lines of the art nouveau style.
The stories are all touching. They are the kind of short stories that I read once, wonder about, read again and have a sudden realization that there are tears forming at the edge of my eyes. All of them where about the devotion and pure love of unique characters. They are all very magical and surreal. The remind me of a dreamlike state, where the romantic, fantasy stories are ethereal and fading fast, but poignant and with a lesson to remember that touched my heart.

This has to be the cleverest, most artistic yaoi title that I've ever read. The fantasy titles particularly draw the reader in with an air of mysticism that is reminiscent of a folk tale. Her inventive use of the panels is also extremely interesting.

This is extreme gender-bending shota. I seriously thought the ukes were girls, so i thought i was reading loli at first which would have been fine since the stories were really cute, but its like the author just threw in the 'oh, actually they're gay males!' for no reason. Im not against yaoi I actually like it but really, when the ukes look NOTHING like guys then there's a problem...if you like that kind of thing then i guess you'll like this.

Eee this tickled my fancy. First story was rather good, i love the how true to life the plot was - a man engrossed by his goal forgets why he made that goal to start with. Very good start. Second story had a nice psychological twist to it, but was short xD Third story is very sweet, i loved that one :3 Fourth was again very sweet, canary was a bit odd though lol, head wings... Fifth was sixth were nice but mostly just smut, i did like how it ended though ^^ Overall i liked these stories, some were deep, others were shallow, some were smutty, some were clean, nice combination.

The art is very pretty but I could have read this ENTIRE manga and thought hanabishi was a girl. He's not, but he looks like one. It was beautiful and unique, though. It was heartwrenching at times and also very heartwarming.

Magical

I've always enjoyed Hoshino-sensei's works because they are light, very cute, pleasant and often fun. The artwork is wonderful as well. But usually I didn't expect any exciting plot (or deeper involvements from my side) from her manga. However, the first story of this book took me by surprise. Not that the story's extraordinary or especially original or anything, but something about it simply touched my heart. It's beautifully drawn and the story was beautifully told. Just this first story was enough to make me feel good about the rest of this collection of oneshots varying from cute to typical Hoshino-sensei's. All in all this title is not to be missed. And to think that I delayed reading this book for sometime just because of the cover! >_<

A must read for the romantics. It's magical.

crossbridge between shoujo and yaoi

Crossbridge indeed. It does contain extremaly feminine ukes and even hetero sex (or should I say smut? I'm just direct...) And by shoujo I mean not modern crappy idiotic romance stories but something like works of Year 24 Group. Of course this manga is a lot lot worse than those masterpieces... but you can't deny mangaka's high ambitions smile

First Story

I rate whole on the first story. It was the best of them all and most well thought out. The only thing I disliked was the uke being girly but I can live with it since it really was as if they put two men into a cliche shoujo so you can't really have a manly concubine...
