i used to love this story. I was a narutard. it was a big chunck of my life...
and do you know why? because up until awhile ago when there was still guessing and theorizing to be done it was a great manga.

after awhile it stoped being a great manga and started just being drawn out and irrelevant. when naruto gets back to its roots it will be a great manga again.

Okay, I don;t really understand why so many people hate this manga.
There's character growth, unique characters, a good plot, etc. It's entertaining, easy to follow, and the art isn't confusing; it's pretty simple though.
Character designs are pretty good.
But why is everyone calling this cliched? Sure, it might be cliched a bit, but not VERY. I MEAN COME ON. IT WAS MADE 2 CENTURIES BEFORE THIS ONE(like, 11 years...) shounen cliches might've started at the time but not enough to call this completely unoriginal.
Take other manga, not just shounen. Josei manga, shoujo, manga, and maybe even seinen manga are nothing like the complex, interesting, and intricate ways of this shounen manga.
I like this manga, I like the anime, but I hate how a lot of people judge this manga too much.
It's a great story. They don't run a manga for 50+ volumes for nothing, so just keep that in mind please.

I like Naruto over all, it's one of the best Ninja manga series, but it does have rivals, like Ninja Scroll, but I don't like some of the characters like Emo Hinata,or Sauske. But other than that, great manga and even better anime, except the Pain fight, they fucked that fight up tremendously, D 😀 😀 😀 😀 :, It pissed off a lot of people as well

Harry Potter With Ninjas Instead of Witches

I do not mean that in a bad way. Harry Potter has a good formula. And apparently someone in Japan recognized this and decided to redo it with ninjas. However, Rowling knew when to quit. This manga has gone on way too long. I thought the time break would help to wrap things up. No such luck.

This manga seems to be really polarizing, you either really enjoy it or you think it's beyond stupid. I personally am one who enjoys it, but I'll admit, there are some chapters that make you think "why am I reading this again?"

Many people that complain that it should have ended awhile ago but for the scope and the amount of just everything that this manga has in it, making it end sooner would have just left too many untied ends. Currently, you can feel the story coming to a close but in a way that also answers the questions we've all been wondering.

Overall, I give Naruto a 9 for a few reasons.

One: action scenes. Too many brilliant manga have been ruined by poorly executed fight scenes that have so many things going on that no one can figure out what just happened, Naruto typically maintains a good balance between uncluttered drawing and dialogue.

Two: Characters. We've all read manga in which every other figure looks exactly like someone who appeared two pages ago, minus maybe a different hair color. In this manga, differentiating between two characters is easy: every person has a distinct look and all the main characters can be recognized with no second guessing. One other thing that I think is rather rare is the fact that parents/siblings/family members actually look related to each other.

Three: it's in depth. I'm not sure if this is just me but I find it cool when I can see a picture of a character and instantly know a huge chunk of info regarding who the person is, who their family is, what they can do, and how they tie into the story. The further and further you read into the story the more you realize just how massive Kishimoto's ninja world is.

when it come to naruto, it fills so much parts of my life, i mean i have watched it since small (its like harry potter "lol" )
and it wasn't my starting point in manga, i have already started gakuen alice, and flame of rika!
naruto is the influence of my brother! ><
naruto our main character, speaks with his heart, all he does is believe,
this is a Shounen, so there are so many fighting. and the drawing is terribly filled with blood~! but i gotta say its so cool!
like sometimes i go crazy about naruto, (i'm gonna go horny) but it touches my heart alot, i wasted so much money on buying fan things, to me its worth it, CAUSE IT NARUTO! 🙂

I really like Naruto! I think its amazing for sure! I really like the plot and all the characters, except for Sasuke (if thats how u spell it) because he also puts Naruto down!!!!!!! Naruto is the best character and the most powerful one in this manga! XD

When I first took a look at this I thought, "Ninjas, sounds cool". And I didnt mind the extra powers because I thought It'll just add an extra spice... BUT as the series went on, it became less ninja and more "look at me, Imma magician who can jump really really far! SUCK IT HP!!!" and thus it got from a promising manga, to an overrated load of BS.

To all the fanboys/fangirls out there. I dont mind you reading or watching the series, but I dont like it and I'm allowed to have a different opinion than you.

its a good series with a lot fans so nobody criticizes it,and the few who do ,get atacked by fanboys.
well i admit its a pretty interesting manga,tere was focus on the side characters apart from naruto which was also entertaining.
but i'll have to say that they have made this series into a long and boring one.
one more point,even though i can understand the friendship of naruto & sasuke but why is sakura all lovey-dovey over sasuke,has he ever done anything for her , or even talked in right way.
i think her love is total BS.
seriously overrated series......

really, i love love love it years ago.
i was looking forward to the new chapter every week, until 3 years ago when itachi dead..... i stop read it. (a week of tears flood and mocking sasuke)
then i gave it a try again, until pain dead and the story focusing on sasuke. dropped it for 2nd time.
then i picked it up again and if i gave a rate to this manga 3 years ago, i would give it 10/10
but now, i give it 8/10

the only failure of this manga is that sasuke's existance!
