SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well i like naruto... but some characters being to powerful is just plain stupid... aren't akatsuki members suppose to be hgokage level ninjas? and yet sasori was defested by 2 people when he beat a country, kakuzu got owned by naruto even though he is suppose to be extremly strong and not much of his skills were shown.... Hidan was cool... but he didnt have enough attacks? Deidara's c2 dragon got owned way too fast... The manga is sort of turning into a magical story rather then a ninja story... but i still like it though... =.=... And one stupid thing.... deidara owned sasuke quite a bit before he died... and when sasuke killed orochimaru... he didnt even have a scratch... wtf?? And sasuke summoning Manda was absoulutely useless? why didnt he just use the jutsu and teleport himself away? And why didnt sasori just own sakura and chiyo? all his puppets have chakra right? why didnt they use jutsus? when kakuzu was fighting naruto. why didnt he use his random things and fight him? ARRRHHHH.... i wished kishimoto didnt exxagerate it so much... but over all i like it... ^^... ==""

Was my favorite, but the story line has decayed significantly. It used to be straightforward and clean, but it's gotten overly complicated. Complex stories are fine, but in order to explain the more detailed plots, there's too much emphasis on lecturing and not enough on action.

even though it started out memorible but as the story develop it gets really boring and u get a feeling that the story is no longer revolve around the main character ..aka naruto anymore and points/objective of the story isnt about being a hokage anymore ..but to find sasuke and destroy akatsuki because they're the bad guy ....-_-

the manga get a 10 but the anime gets a 7 its sooooo slow after the time skip the manga is so far ahead i was thinking while watching this weeks episode that my fave charater (Hinata) will be showing up soon then i for got about the damn naruto Training arc that took a while in the manga so they could prolly streatch that about 5-6 episodes they really need to start cracking out 2 episodes a week for prolly a moth and a half just to get to the training arc were you see how
BAMF shicamaru is the manga is moving at a good and suspensful pace as soon as i just get settled in the chapter is over i just wish i didnt have to wait a week to see the next 🙁

I think that Naruto started out a really good manga. There was a good plot and nice characters. It's just that the plot started repeated itself in the second half and I lost intrest. Though the beginning of the manga is one of my favorites, obviously with the name.

I agree that the first part of Naruto (before timeskip) is somewhat better than the second part (in the west: Shippuden), maybe because almost everything is already introduced in the first part and just a few new things are introduced in the second part of the manga.

There are some twist that I do not like in the Shippuden part like: an important villain, e.g. Orochimaru died too easily, unbalanced fighting skill of some characters in the manga, Naruto still being incompetent after the timeskip (nothing learned from Jiraiya), Naruto just improves his ninja techniques AFTER the timeskip, what's the point of a time skip? - Although other ninja's do have improved, e.g. Sakura (superior healing techniques/skills and Super Strength, just like Tsunade; and Sasuke ( He is now stronger than Orochimaru and may be even stronger than Itachi - time will tell). Another things I don't like is that other Tail Beasts and its container, jinchūriki, (except the Nine Tails - Naruto and Shukaku - Gaara) are playing a very small roll in the manga; they do have a name, but do not have real personality; also they are so easily defeated by the Akatsuki. They should give the other Tailed beasts and its "container" (jinchūriki) a bigger rol in the manga. What I like in Naruto Shippuden are some of the new ninpo/ninja techiques introduced in the manga (mainly those from the Akatsuki members) and the mysterious leader of the Akatsuki. Those ninja techniques are still very top notch and looks very cool! The new Sasuke also looks much more cooler than Naruto who is still very immature at times. Then Sakura, I like how she develops in the manga and she's now not the helpless one anymore.

Despite the minor flaws the Naruto (Shippuden) manga is still a very enjoyable manga to read, since the Mangaka knows how to add interesting and exciting stuff in the story, especially in the newest chapters of Naruto Shippuden.

Naruto is kind of so-so for me. I prefer the first half of the manga, before the timeskip. (And before all the typical shonen cliches started erupting in this manga.)

The art is okay, but I've seen better. The action scenes are pretty good, but some are a bit too drawn-out. I really like the fact there are many different types of jutsus and techniques, though.

The Shippuuden arc is interesting enough, but I wish there was a bit more information about the training of the characters during the 2 years. It also seems that Naruto hardly changes through those 2 years, except maturing a bit and getting a bit stronger. There also hardly seems to be any character developement for the other characters as well.

As for the story, the plot was thicker and more satisfying in the first half. Naruto's personality and his goals to become stronger made it interesting to read, whereas in the Shippuuden, they aren't really a key factor to the plot.

All in all, Naruto is a good manga, but it has certain aspects that make me not want to give it a 10.

(ALSO! The anime stinks. -kicks fillers-)

[I read this up to chapter 339; Haven't gone past that point yet]

I started reading this manga 3 or 4 years ago. When I had started reading it, I loved it. I thought it was an ingenious idea for a story, and by the time the first arc was done, I was practically head over heals in love with it.

I was attached to this manga for a few things. The 4 main characters Sasuke, Kakashi, Sakura & Naruto all had something special about them (Minus Sakura, but I thought she was going to be developed later) as they seemed all unique in their own way. Different attitudes, different perspectives in their progression, different fighting styles, different and interesting pasts. But the one thing that really got me hooked on to this was the Ninja aspect of the story. It had to be some of the best ninja lecture I had ever read. It was great. The life of a ninja, a ninja's role, how a ninja must not have emotions on a battle field, fighting as a ninja. That was all so compelling and interesting.

...And then came the Chuunin exam arc, where everything came crumbling down with the introduction of Gaara and company. This is when Naruto really started to become bad. This is when the ninja aspect, the aspect that really made me love this series, became to fade away. It wasn't about ninjas anymore, it was about who was the biggest, baddest monster.

The rest of the series just got worst and worst by the arc.

As it got to part two, nothing much changed really. They had improved Sakura slightly... But she's still as useless as previously was except that she knows how to heal people now. Yay!

So I ask myself... Why do I continue reading this? Why do I always have this false hope that maybe the series will go on the right path? I don't know, but I almost pray to see if it ever will be back to what it once was.

But until then, this is just another decent story, ruined by the typical clichéd Shounen aspects of who can power-up the most.

[edit] And to add to that, the ratings this series gets is ludicrous. This has to be the most over-rated series of all time, above the DBZ's and Bleach's of this world.

in the beginning it had some good ideas, but:
a lot of boring, useless talk about ninja skills and tacticts
fights stretch far too long
characters get more boring the more you read on. Just for teens and preteens in my opinion, agree with the rater above
