Description

Yoon Haneul has always been a pushover, someone who would never say no. Then one day, she opens her eyes and realizes that she has become Aila Mertensia, the antagonist of a novel she had written ten years ago. Haneul is content to live the life of a rich couch potato and binge-read novels. But to her dismay, she soon finds herself stuck in a time loop where her day repeats endlessly, and the only way to escape the loop is to act like Aila Mertensia! Haneul doesn’t know the first thing about acting like a villainess. Luckily for her, a mysterious warlock by the name of Killian offers to help her become a true villainess. Her only option is to make a deal with him, but can Haneul really trust this devilishly handsome man?

Initially I was enjoying the story but from the second season the quality of the drawing and also the intensity of the story dropped...as usual (by now I am tired of writing this) the end was very rushed.
I recommend reading it. Rated 6/10.

I enjoyed it in the beginning, but the ending felt kinda rushed like they just wanted to wrap everything up with a nice bow rather than giving a complete ending.
Also the art also got worse as time went on.

Interesting start to the story but started spiraling downhill by season 2. The ending kind of made sense in a confusing way(?). Wasn't the best explanation to everything and felt rushed.

I enjoyed reading this immensely untill the last like 20 chapters. I'm going to give the story the benefit of the doubt and assume it was cleverly written but the the last 20 chapters were pretty indecipherable in the english translations i read. Before if something didn't make sense i could usually fill in the blank with context but near the ending everything's popping off and none of it really made sense. Even beyond the translations i read the ending in general felt a little rushed and shoe horned in there. So much never seemed to be addressed. It's like the entire story up till the end is just forgotten once she remembers/reveals a secret about herself. Its almost like abruptly reading a whole different story. Again if I'm giving the author the benefit of doubt maybe it only felt so jarring cause of translation issues and it would have been a little bit better with a better translation. But still only by so much. Bottom line i really loved and enjoyed this story but it lost steam at the end and the ending could have been better in my opinion.

Also agree with the comment below me about the quality of art going down in season 2. I think the creator's hearts just weren't in it anymore.

This is a story of a Novelist that writes a classic cliched Cinderella story and then is (for reasons unknown) forced to be the villainess of her own story. It's been done before but its a much less common take on the classic villainess genre.
The good of the story, imo, is that the take of the FL is that of an author that has matured and has a more realistic take on life, people and relations. She is confronted with all her silly juvenile dreams of the princess and the white prince and shallow characters just created to serve the story in one way or another. Furthermore, she has to judge her past creation even more harshly since she's in the one dimensional role of the villainess, a character created to suffer in other words. Unfortunately, this means that the MC and author if you will, is more mature than in many similar manhwa/manhuas, but the setting and many aspects of the story are as naive and shallow since that's the novel she originally wrote.
Add a sort of compulsion in which she is forced to act as a villainess otherwise time enters a loop and you get a pretty interesting story. It's too soon to say if it's any good or not but it may be one as the story inevitable starts to diverge from what was originally written in the first naive novel.

Has potential but storytelling is confusing

It really is confusing. I feel like I am always missing things so I have a hard time understanding what exactly is going on. Is it because of the scanlation ? Or because of the webtoon in itself ? Idk, the pace feels weird.
Anyway it is not that bad, I like the idea of a pushover becoming a villainess, especially when she has to act as one if she doesn’t want the day to repeat itself. I want great character development, we will see if it’s as good as I want it to be. As of chapter 30, I’m rather happy about it.
I also like the fact that it is her own novel (which she wrote when she was a kid), I love how embarrassing she now thinks it is. We all go through that phase when we enjoy cheesy and corny romances, then we stumble upon a great and wholesome one and can’t read anything else (thus start our continuous search of other gems in a pile of dirt).

The start is slow (and as I said confusing). The story picks up at chapter 17. The plot is quite messy but it has potential because of the characters. They are a bit generic but still interesting. I also like the chemistry between the main leads, great skinship and partnership. Maybe it will blossom into a good romance.

All in all, if you can get past the clumsy storytelling, you’ll probably enjoy it.

Interesting story

It's a nice twist, with the female lead becoming a villain and teaming up with the bad guy. Entertaining story so far and I look forward to how things are going to progress.

One thing I can't seem to get over, though, is the pupil placement of the female and male leads. IDK, it just makes them look slightly cross-eyed and the rest of the art doesn't quite make up for it.

A confusing mess that needs a while to fall into place but then it shines. Top-notch Villainess story!

I think this is one of those cases where the author has a fully mapped out world/story and wants to get right into the action without clotting readers with exposition which backfired and will likely turn readers away.

I am also not 100% sure how I feel about the art. The FL and ML look like gods that have had an army of art assistants work on them until every inch is shaded properly, and then some of the other characters - even seemingly important ones look like they could be straight out of IRIS- Lady with a Smartphone (which is basically the webtoon version of stickfigures). I don't have any background info on this but I would guess that either the artist hasn't settled on a style yet, or there are a couple too many people working on it at the same time.

Will definitely stick with this!
