Description

Kassan is believed to be the sole survivor of the Azkun clan, after Master Igen, a ruthless ruler, slaughters his family. Master Igen brings the young boy slave to his home, exploiting, beating, and starving him.

The only one who cares about him enough to risk the Master’s wrath is Lanour, a fellow slave. Oblivious to the fact that Master Igen is the one who had the members of his clan killed, Kassan starts falling in love with him. To make things more complicated, his brother is alive, ready to take vengeance.

Boring and predictable

I can't read it anymore after 15 chapter
It's painfully boring and so predictable lol
There is nothing deep about it, even author try so hard to make it deep, it just stupid and u can say what's going to happen in the end easily
And pls there is zero chemistry btw main couple
Both are boring and annoying and I don't even care about any of them or what's going happened to them lol

Hard to Rate

It's a slow start and every time it starts to pick up momentum, something stupid happens like a character acting out of character or a misunderstanding or a secret kept that causes unnecessary drama.
Basically, it's a soap opera.
Also, towards the end, the female soldier who is introduced seems to have a million personalities...
They intro her as someone who deeply hates azkun... They show her purposely being antagonistic... Then say she was so caring/nervous that her bow shook... Then she's basically a handmaiden who is super innocent? It's like the author couldn't decide what they wanted to do with her so just made her what was convenient for the chapter on a CHP by CHP basis...

Anyway, despite all that it does build to a point where you can tell how deeply characters love one another (save for maybe the captain of the guards whole relationship... That one came out of nowhere as well), the art is beautiful, and it has a nice ending despite everything else.

So I can't really figure how to rate it all in all, but it's definitely something that should be read at least once.

Surprised out how good it got

So, I thought this was average in the first few chapters. The art is beautiful. All of the characters are feminine looking, but that’s the art’s style. I disagree that only 15 year olds girls like this style. People of all ages can like feminine art styles, it’s not a good or bad thing. It has to do with different tastes. I like masculine looking men but still liked how the author had a feminine touch.

Now back to the story, the plot really picked up around chapter 10. I thought that it started getting a really nice flow to the story.

I initially hated the blond main character but soon began from like him as the story went along. I really appreciate it when authors are able to give us enough substance to better connect with the characters, even if we hated them in the beginning.

I also enjoyed how the story was not rushed! The two main characters spend enough time together and enough time passes for us to understand why they start getting feelings for each other.

Not really up to my expectation

I went here and read the comment saying this one is so amazing and is a must read so I gave it a try, but it was not what I expected (at least the 5 first chapters). The writing is so Korean-like, and by that I mean it's a bit too simple, you may like it if you don't want anything too serious. It's not dark as it might look at first, and the characters look feminine to me lol they look like sisters but some people may like this style, usually 13-15 year old girls. Anyway, I'm gonna wait to see the later development.

one of the best angest yaoi. this manga is so inchanting that will hook it claws in to you and won't let you down. story is bitterly beautiful, art is amazing.
I must say that it's not for the faint of heart. It has violent content. if you're not lovely dovey type and more of angsty drama's, this manga can be what you might consider.

I read the first chapter (the only one I could translate -.-') and I loved it !!! XD (Despite the scans in Chinese they are low quality, T-T) ... hopefully it licencien in English to enjoy reading it or some group that wants to translate from the Korean. (although the only way to get the volumes is the taobao shop).
