Bride of the Water God

Description

When Soah's impoverished, desperate village decides to sacrifice her to the Water God Habaek to end a long drought, they believe that drowning one beautiful girl will save their entire community and bring much-needed rain. Not only is Soah surprised to be rescued by the Water God-instead of killed-she never imagined she'd be a welcomed guest in Habaek's magical kingdom, where an exciting new life awaits her! Most surprising, however, is the Water God himself... and how very different he is from the monster Soah imagined.

i am new member here, and love to read manga/manhwa just few time ago (less than 2 weeks ago haahaa... very late)... and i interesting with this series, i think that this series was ended, but still ongoing...hmmphm.. firstly, i love it very much.. mui in my imagine is handsome guy.. and i really wanna know about the whole story, what is the ending of the story, is it have happy ending...i am very very interesting... penasaran lah pokoknya .. but, all the comment i read here when i thinking again is true... this manhwa is pretty good art, but story is complicated in the end.. i read until ch 38 and jump to another chapter.. like 50+, 70+, and ch.114.. so many problem in this manhwa, right? i think the enemy just die, and they live happily ever after, but not simple like that.... my feeling mixed when i read this manhwa, happy, sad, touched, cute, and even angry...

overall, my heart and mind is still wondering what will happen, i always waiting this until the end, because i really really want to know...and i will try to enjoy it because i just stuck in this manhwa.. my first manhwa i think....

really like this manhwa, with the plus and minus it have...
hope i will not dissapointed with it, because my expectation is really high,,,hehehe...
i give high rating to this.... 🙂

Story is getting....

Don't you notice a pattern here? Endless love competition (love triangles,love squares,etc.) All this author can come up with is more competition. Maybe because its shoujo, but don't you think it's time to stop the competition already? Whenever this manga had updates I used to be excited and read carefully and treasure each page of the new chapter, but now, I just suddenly woke up and said "wait a minute. whats with the plot? other than the art, is this plot good?" I suddenly started viewing this manga in a different way. Was I paying attention to the art or the plot? I realized that other than the art, this manga doesnt have such a good plot. It used to be good, I remember getting all hyped up about each update, but now, I'm not even waiting for any updates for this manga. I think its a pity, quite a good manga to start off with, but these latest chapters have been exciting but gets pointless.

I mean, what's wrong with Soah?!! After having a drunken father already solding off her 2 times, and a village that doesn't appreiciate her and thinks of her as a curse or some evil being having come back from the water country, WTF?! Why do you even think about going back to that kind of village?! Just get rid of your worries and live peacefully with Habaek already! Seriously,what's wrong with your brain?! Did it get too clogged up with water since you just came back from water country? I honestly despise Soah. Well, I guess the author wanted some twist in the story, since staying in the world of gods is getting boring,so she wanted a love square of Soah's original fiance, and Lady Woo Hui (his sis) and Habaek. But really, Soah, isn't it time to start to believe in Habaek a bit now and just stop crying pathetic tears and saying for the billionth time that he doesnt love you anymore when he had to sacrifice Mura, Bi Ryeom, Nakbin, Fake Nakbin....doesn't all those people's lives matter to you?!! They all died for your happiness and now what, you go dragging Habaek down that village again and lose your faith again. OH, GOOD LORD!!!

I still have some hope left though. This manga is really a waste to be called bad just because of some latest chapters, so I hope that it will turn better. Other than Soah being a cow, this manga still has some hope left. Its still to early to call it bad, I really would hate to see it go down....I really want to see the happy ending they deserve.

I made it to ch 50 and I think I'm gonna drop it. As others have said, the art is really good, but I feel like I never know what's going on. The plot is pretty vague and confusing. There's no indication of passage of time (has she been there a few days, a few months?), there are flashbacks thrown without it being clear it's a flashback until halfway through, and it's just really hard to follow. I feel like every time it starts to get a good flow and I think I know what's going on, there's a flashback or suddenly the scene ends/changes unexpectedly and without explanation. It also doesn't help that so many of the characters look similar. Everyone has long hair, flowing clothes, etc. I can only ever tell the main characters apart, and even then sometimes.... I really don't get the high ratings to be honest.

One of the best I've ever read. The artwork is amazing. And the angst's just right. This reminds me so much of 100% perfect girl. The plot development may get slow at times, but the subtlety of the story is what that made it somewhat different for me from other stories I read. Very beautiful and elegant characters, and Soah is a head turner. Definitely worth one time read.

Honestly, I think the history is good, the images are beautiful and I am currently on ch 86 and I love it so far!
Sometimes I was confused on the different chapter / pages jump story back in time or just about anyone else's life and it could make me confused,but that's OK i just want more anyway! (a)

Just Complicated

Thhis is a very complicated manwha, in the middle I was getting annoyed, but I continued to read it because there were so many twist in it and the twist just keep coming. What I really like about it even though it's mainly serious there are some good funny parts in there. Yeah there are alot of flashbacks, but they are just feeling the story we don't know and they are informational. The art work is simply beatiful.

I have been in a mix as to who I want Soah to end up with, Habaek is a two-timer and I feel bad for Hooye who is always getting the short end.

I love the artwork of this manga~ it's really detailed and the story is romantic and at times really funny, but can be very confusing for some.... but I really love this manga...
