A slice-of-life story written from the perspective of a child who fears that living with her mother is robbing herself of individuality and her mother of freedom.

Art, plot, narrative. I like them all. It's coherent, there's a flow. The juxtaposition of the girl's house with the other houses is neatly, and strongly done. The art is suitable to the concept that is being depicted. No one has any names as a source of personal identifier which was just perfect.
The only problem I have is with the over use of the Tanuki in the story. The mangaka could have toned a bit down on that aspect.
it is an interesting manga, if you like the sort of manga that make you feel a bit lonely. nice whimsical art and nice whimsical characters, the story move to showcase the theme of alone-ness lovingly. some will think it is profound, some will think it is trying too hard, however it is still fun.
