I'm not one for fast burn romances (i think they confessed around 25+ chaps?), but the development of their feelings are so wholesome, I cannot blame them. I'd also fall for that ousted king; everyone has their reasons.
FL is so kind she didn't judge ML and kept him company regardless. We can't blame him for falling for her as well.
Romance and smut wise, I love the balance of them. It's just enough to keep you reading.
The pacing is nice too. Side stories are cute. Their height differences are cute, and they have a 10-age gap. They met when she was 20 and he was 30.

The pacing is nice too. Side stories are cute. Their height differences are cute, and they have a 10-age gap. They met when she was 20 and he was 30.
It was a slow start, but the immersion was good so I kept going and I'm very happy about it. The plot got interesting but not overly complicated and it didn't shadow the focus of the story, the warm relationship building between the protagonists. The smut was not out of place tbh, pleasantly intimate and coherent with the story.
Amazing
- i’m going to be honest i maybe didn’t comprehend a few ch esp the ones establishing romantic ambience well bc i was skipping to see the smut which there is later on dw
- was not expecting to like it so much. it’s like vaguely political intrigue but it functions more as the backdrop for their romance.
- which honestly is super cute bc the ml and the fl r so pure and like head over heels for each other. there’s no ulterior motive, no misunderstanding, etc. they’re just in love and they know it and say it and they’re desperate for each other. bit angsty, tragedy vibes, maybe trauma porn esp w the fl’s life, but eh it’s just cute how much they care abt each other and it makes you really root for them
- bit of an age gap. not a largely egregious one like in a lot of manhwas i see but she’s 21 and he’s maybe a little younger than 30. also i thought abt the real world implications and isn’t this stockholm syndrome lol power dynamics are odd here
- oh also the art can be atrocious. it’s very unique, much more like manga than manhwa art i’ve seen. disproportionate bodies, abnormally large eyes, weird choice of color/detail, etc. but you get used to it
overall: surprised me a lot. was into it cuz it was a smut that wasn’t terrible but actually kind of gripping romance ? 7/10
