This series was written like an AI with no concept of how human beings work wrote it. I read up until after the first flashback before dropping it, and from what I hear it never really gets much better and characters continue to be pastiche of real human behavior.
From my short attempt at reading this: the main character, Worthless Weenie, stands stone still like a DBZ character while Cleavage McChesty gets carved up like a thanksgiving turkey twice(probably many more times later on) and only does anything to save her when she's going to get finished off. Lets her get molested, lets dudes just kick him in the dick while he's doing his DBZ reaction thing, and then Unleashes His Hidden Power At Just The Right Moment both times, which is miraculously better than anyone else! Every single character in this series in the beginning is insane, nothing works like the actual world works, so long as you've been there a year longer than your target you can get away with almost literal murder, reporting gross abuses of power is meaningless, the teachers threaten the students, the dialogue is like someone talking to an archaic chatbot emulating a person, the slightest insult to the denizens of the University Of Hubris warrants horrific violence and humiliation(wouldn't surprise me if rape entered the fray eventually). Everything about the series is off-model, not literally because the art is quite good, but conceptually; nobody acts like real people. The rules are asinine and easily exploited by some, harshly enforced by others. The amount of speed lines gets really noticeable really fast, too, if I had to criticize the art.
This is a bad series, do not read it.
Anyone defending this with "don't overanaylze it, just enjoy it" is a complete moron who would eat literal shit so long as it tasted good.
