Description

No problem solving. No obstacles. What story?

This series wasn't for me. The story has no real obstacles and after two seasons the lead is still a child. Its just interesting enough to continue reading if you have nothing to do and want to turn off your brain, but I don't see how anyone would want to come back week after week for a new chapter.

The lead, Firentia, has the goal of becoming the matriach for her noble household. She uses her insights into the world and her family's problems to gain connections, wealth, and fame. Where did she get these insights? From her future life!!! For two seasons (that's over 120 chapters), she literally gains no new knowledge in this lifetime. She's not smart, she just has some ridiculous OP memory system cos there is no way she can remember details for 5,6,7 years to that detail.

It wouldn't be so bad if the obstacles in her life were actually being solved in story instead of just some future drivel to upheave society.

Also the longer we stay in the childhood phrase, the more I feel like this lead shouldnt partner up with anyone cos of the age gap. She gets transmigrated as some 20-something to an 8 years old body.

One of my favorite manhwas tbh. Tia's character is interesting and I particularly enjoy an underdog kind of a story.

That being said, the timeline might be a bit slow-moving for people who are missing the point: there's a lot of time spent with the main characters being children because the adults in their lives are just as important, since the family dynamic is largely determined by Tia's father, aunt, uncles, and grandfather. The growth of the Pellet Corporation occurs during these years and it's pretty significant in the story, since the growth of this corporation is what gives its owner an unimaginable amount of negotiating power--something that doesn't often happen in the real world, tbh.

I also particularly enjoy how the author incorporates very common concepts as "new" and "innovative" business practices in a setting where folks still ride around in carriages LOL

Tia's character is refreshing and intelligent. I suppose if someone reading it begins to dislike her intelligence and ability (which is largely due to her knowing the future) I'd shake it off as the reader projecting their own shortcomings onto the story and getting a mild inferiority complex because of it. So if you don't like strong, intelligent women then this manhwa is not for you. 🙂

This is a reeeaally good political drama. A step behind The Villainess Lives Again (which is flawless), so about a 9.x/10 rather than 10/10. But really good.
Also, interestingly enough, is one of the very few series that combines Isekai with the 'Returnee' premise.
The political plots and planning take place faar in advance of when the Returnee knowledge is relevant. In fact one thing that makes this so great is how the political drama/planning begins so early (when she’s 7) that her advanced knowledge isn’t that advantageous in many areas, and instead it’s her maturity and skills/knowledge that kick in, avoiding her feeling OP or too advantaged and making her accomplishments feel earned and the challenges feel harder and more real. Nor does it fall into the trap of making other characters dumb so our mc looks smart. There are many smart characters in this, our mc is just able to leverage what she has very effectively.
To repeat, she does NOT feel OP, because everything is taken so realistically. there are many occasions where she can't just fix something because she's limited by her age and position, and decides she has to play a longer game and just quietly watch as damage is done in the meantime.
There is ONE occasion in which I felt she was 'OP', when she picked up both courtly dialogue and dancing incredibly quickly before her debut. But....that's not what comes to mind when people discuss OP. Everything else is very very much earned and there are many occasions she gets partial victories. An advantage of taking things so slow-paced, but not in a boring way. It's really well done. (my other criticism: this story would be basically the same with no Isekai. It also would be the same without 'sword aura', idk why some series shove that in there)

Also this has very strong female characters. The Aunt alone is a total inspirational badass. [You [i]are[/i] left wondering why she never intervened in the original timeline's first 10 years (after that is explained/can be reasoned). I'm guessing she never knew the extent and didn't pay attention to children who didn't stand-out (i.e. all of them) except her own.]
And YET, the male characters are not neglected. Too many Otome Isekai/Returnee/Romance-Fantasy/RoFan Political drama webtoons/webnovels have strongly developed female characters and weakly developed male character. In this series we get a wide cast with some very well done characters of both genders.

It's a really good series, if you like Political Drama or Returnee stories. Read it.

Edit: Oh and, unlike The Villainess Lives Again, this series has LOTS of cute moments to make you smile. It's a lot less dark.
edit 2: Oh wow, turns out we're only halfway into the story. Thought we were in the end game.
note: I tried some of the later fan translations. Don't read them. Stick to official translations. You need proper grammar and TL for political dramas to feel effective.

The story progress is slow. It took 125 chapters for time skip. There are boring moments. I have to agree in other comments that FL is OP. She's flawless in everything she does and it gets boring because there are no challenges. There are character development in some of the characters like Gallahan and others. I'm still thinking if I'll continue reading this.

I really liked this in the beginning. The FL used her knowledge from her previous life to make better choices the second time around. It also seemed more realistic where there were gaps in her memory and she didn't remember everything clearly due to being focused on surviving in her previous life. Also the art is stellar.
However, I'm so bored now. I wanted to wait until the series finished to write this review, but I keep wondering when it's going to wrap up already. The FL is too OPed, she can be super snobby about her family name/backing, and it's so repetitive with everyone being shocked at her talents for her age (especially because it's her 2nd attempt, and she's therefore much older). In the most recent chapters, she's also magically good at things she didn't experience in her past life

like high society socializing and dancing. Ever since she saved her father in Chapter and exposed her cheating uncle in chapter, the whole story has just dragged. Nothing of importance has happened. It just keeps going on about the numerous businesses she racks up due to her past knowledge and how much her family dotes on her in this life. I was also upset with how incompetent they have made her father in an effort to make the FL seem that more talented/smart. Even her grandfather, the steadfast, talented leader of the most influential family seems dumb compared to her. If anything, there is more of a plot with the ML, and I'd rather follow his story over watching the FL just become more rich.

gallahan - very refreshing to have his character

cons;
too slow paced - she's been a child for too long its getting boring
mc is wayyy too OP, she has too much plot armour so everything gets predictable.
boring pathetic villains - a good villain on mc's level would've made this manhwa a lot better

manhwa started off good so kinda disappointing its so average now

Why some of the comments say this manhwa just a copy-paste story done with zero imagination, because it's not,, this manhwa is one of the best manhwa because it's not just focus on the romance like other manhwa and how they telling the story is also so well written, every chapter so intriguing that make me can't stop to look forward to read the next chapter
