Description

Danjou Yamato is a high-school student who lives in the countryside and is the boxing champion of the region. However, when his family has to move out to live in Tokyo, he is transfered to a school in Tokyo that was previously an all-girls school. Girls have a lot of power and give the guys a hard time. But Yamato will not bow down to the power of the girls, and on his way to claim power for the guys in the school, he finds out something about his past... something that he had forgotten long ago...

What a truckload of crap this manga is, filled with hypocritical characters to the core, I reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaally tried my best to hold back my anger while reading this piece of shit of a story to give it a chance to improve, also add to it that I really hate the "girl-unwarrantedly-hits-guy-all-the-time" kind of thing, I hate that, I despise it to my very soul, since everyone knows that the guy cant defend himself from the girl's violence, let me insist, this girl ACTS VIOLENTLY because she wants to go against this guy. Obviously, there must be a reason for her to act that way, but why does it have to be THAT way or with the bullying? Damn, not even the shoujo manga I've read is that bad regarding that matter. It was obvious that this girl liked the guy but acted in that annoying way from the get go.

The MC also is an utter moron, sometimes he appears to have some sense in him and detects stuff but, god... just remembering some scenes upset me.

I really wanted to give this manga a chance, but I couldnt deal with its story telling and most important of all, its characters.

A school that goes coed and the girls have some kind of dictatorship? That sounded interesting where some mangas have developed it well, but in this one the bullying at the start and then the sudden change like nothing even happened is the worst.

Fuck this shit! I dont even remember the last time I've felt so angry while reading something. Manga Updates definitely needs an option besides Complete List that should read "IM NOT FUCKING READING THIS CRAP AGAIN" List.

As stated by other people, the manga starts out interesting. Girls oppressing boys, straightforward protagonist, animosity, mysterious past. Once the oppression issue gets resolved(it doesn't vanish, the balance adjusts, it's not like the situation was healthy anyway) the manga has nothing more to offer.
The animosity between Yamato and Maki evaporates, even though the reason for said animosity comes out much later(and makes not a lot of sense). The pattern of a new female appearing, Yamato doing something(first few times something cool, afterwards just something) and the female has a crush on him, repeats regularly and becomes annoying. Other than that it's a cliche after cliche after cliche.
Again, mysterious past thing does not deliver adequately.
The ending is predictable. Even though it comes out of nowhere(which is infuriating). What is the most cliche and lazy ending for a romance manga?

Separation+timeskip+reunion... Freaking 8 year timeskip. Out of nowhere. With a half-assed reason.

The art is not so good. Backgrounds are nice, the characters start to feel lifeless after awhile.
If you want a manga with this kind of theme read Katsu!, Cross Game or Rough by Adachi Mitsuru, or IO(that is far from perfect but still much better than open sesame) by Koio Minato.

Dragging too much

long... the romance is too long..... and yeah I see so many plot being reused again and again, like how Danjou meet a random girl falling in love with him and the girl ask for advice from Mogami, how many times again it had happened.... I thought that seeing this complete in 20 volume can give out more development and character's relationship in some volumes
And where the hell is the boxing?? It was shown only at the earlier volume and later on boxing is just used as an excuse for morning practice and for showing off to other girls, the last thing maybe when it is about Akidzuki that makes him win without any trouble....
Even the first plot about how the guys had a hard time against the girls was just being forgotten, oh well maybe the author just didn't want to drag about it again
too many rants that I actually have, but let's just leave it
I give 6 for this because at least the protagonist is not some weak male protagonist that just happened to be liked by every cute girls in the world because he is kind....
Actually I like the romance between Mogami and Danjou if only the author didn't drag it too long....
Unfortunately the chapters when they're actually going out are so little and looks a bit crappy (especially some chapters before the ending about that america thing), because actually that kind of thing is what I search for in romance manga not just how he get the girls and go out then the end....
oh well I usually give 4-5 minimum point for appreciating the author

Don't read the last few chapters

It's a good story, but the ending sux. Easy fix for that! Just read it to the last vol. first chapter or so.
you will know when the major crappiness begins, so just stop there and delete the rest, except the last 2 pages or so.

I read this a few months ago. My brother had up to vol 14 so I thought it stopped there [I was very confused when I reached the last couple of chapters of that volume] and when I was at volume 12 I found it entirely believable that it WOULD stop after two more volumes especially after their field trip to...Kyoto, i think it was? It did NOT need to go for 20 volumes. And the big reveal was nowhere near tragic or dramatic enough for all that build up and how everyone was keeping it a secret. I was disappointed, it didn't make sense that they made such a big fuss over it. Wow, I just realised I apparently gave it an 8 soon after I finished it. Let's just fix that.
anyways, from memory some other problems were how some characters weren't really resolved. Especially

Aoi . That's not really a spoiler, you can probably figure it out before you even start to read this series unless you're expecting originality from this mangaka. Don't do that. I haven't read many romance centric manga but trust me. That'd be a mistake. I was going to go on but after remembering how everyone is falling for the main character...it's just so stupid!
I currently have this marked as "Waste of time, waste of bandwidth".

EDIT: the reason why I have this as high as a 5 is because there were a couple of good chapters

A lot of people are complaining but realistically, this was a pretty good read. Some people might not enjoy it and sometimes there's side stories that you don't really give a shit about but overall it was pretty good. Some people complain about the ending and without spoiling too much, I think it was the best ending possible with the plot direction that the author took at the end. It is unrealistic at times and sometimes the characters piss you off and as the reader you want to jump into the pages and yell at them for being so stupid, this feeling came up a lot during the three days I spent finishing this manga. It was a fun read but the manga could have been better.

this manga should have win award for the most unrealistic ending in history. i was like 8 years lol
Truth be told the whole thing is a bit unrealistic, everyone in this manga is the same everyone is kind and generous always helping others. there is not single selfish or bad person out there and they never make a single mistake in 20 volumes lol, also they never ever say anything bad to each other or have anything bad to say about anyone or anything lol. and oh yeh random characters seem to hooking up with other random characters for no reason at all lol.Badkarmas review sums it up pretty well but even with these problems it was quite fun at times to Read not because of the non existing plot but its funny and sweet at times, if it was not for the terrible ending i would given it 7.

can someone break this manga down for me? i need to know wat hapns i dont really want to finish the whole thing cuuz i got bored thot the story was going nowhere i just thot the author wasnt paying attention enough sidetrack to much maybe he wrote story about guy with memory loss cuz he has memory problems too lol i wud rather read the very long wall post ppl wrote about this manga cuz they make more sense than the manga it self

Panos, just because you don't like it doesn't mean that everybody have to dislike it. You are not center of the world.
Even if this manga wasn't a masterpiece, it's not that bad. And you have no right to flame people who gave 10/10 to it.

There's a reason why this manga have been serialized for a long time, but this manga isn't your type. I can see the reason why you gave this series 2.5 by seeing you gave 10 to Mx0, 9.5 to Unbalancex2, 9 to Karin and Oretama, 8.5 to Girl Saurus and Nozoki Ana, 8 to Rosario Vampire and Sekirei

@panos, normally I don't debate on comments too, but I see a question, so I answered. In fact, I normally don't even write the comment, I just rate.
The reason I don't write any comment is the same reason that I told you.
I believe that people have their own opinions, different opinions. Some may be very different, some may similar or even almost the same. But there wouldn't be the exactly same unless they share exactly same life experience. People who like this series may like it because they have similar experience in life, may like it because they like the drawings, may like it because they like the characters, may like it because they like chicken and many more, but you'll never know.
That's why there are some people who gave this series 10/10. That's why there are some people who gave this series 1/10
That's why I believe in average score than individual's opinion, that's why I believe in and like to give ratings rather than comments.

Danjou is a putz.

Mogumi totally lead Danjou on. Going on about how they were going to go to University together all the while she had already decided to go to New York for 8 years, and didn't even bother telling him. But Danjou actually decided to wait for her for those 8 years?

I actually enjoyed this Manga up until the last 2 or 3 chapters.
